I'm in Love.
I want to write love notes to Laura Antoniou, I want to lick her brain, but I'm afraid she'd think I was weird if I said that :(This book is fabulous, and I don't want it to end until I have more of LA's work to read.Maybe I can find out where she lives, and stalk her threateningly until she writes more Marketplace books for me. I could pretend to be her pet cat and leave dead mice outside her front door as tokens of my love and admiration for her work. It works for cats, so it should work for me, right?(I may be too tired and slightly losing my marbles right now, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong about how good this book is).(This book is totally good enough to make you want to sell yourself into slavery, ask a friend to keep tabs on you and tie you up if you try to find marketplace people to spot/train/sell/buy you).

I wait with baited breath for the next ones! I have heard Laura read some of her work live. Yes, even hotter in person. :D

The way that Laura Antoniou writes makes me very happy. Antoniou manages to include all gender and sexuality expressions in the Marketplace series which is an admirable factor alone without the expressive and brilliant story line.

Teh best so far in an excellent series
The Reunion is the best of the Marketplace series al of which are good. The two main characters from the rest of the series are Chris (trainer in service) and Robin (trying to decide whether to stay in or get out after her previous owner Monica fell for another woman and didn't renew). It isn't necessary to read the other books in the series first but I still recommend them as they are all very good reads. The Reunion is a weeks vacation for slaves, their SOs and children. This sounds a bit like one of those grade school papers "what I did on my summer vacation" but its nothing like that at all. Some of the characters include AL and Lloyd (xs) longtime lovers and friends of Lisa and Richard and their two kids Todd and Amy; Carol(xs) been out for 12 years and wants to get back in; Chandra(pleasure Slave), Azziz(trying out on the butler staff as a change from the Waiters') and Mackenzie (senior client and butler). The interwoven plots include these and more well drawn characters and includes Chris' and Robbins affair, Chris' recruiting Lord and Lady Southerby for the regents (to say that Lord Southerby is unenthused about being a slave for two years is a real understatement), and a paparazzi name of Nigel who is trying to get the goods on the market place. The characters are deftly handled as are the carefully interwoven plots. There is some humor here as when Chris says to Robin "you'll have to move over or I won't spank you when we get there." And the reaction to Chandra's pajama party. In the genre this is the book to measure all others by. Now if you don't like same sex sex, VBDSM, MS, Ds, or have problems with transsexual issues this may not be for you but it is very well written erotica and stands above the others even The Slave and Safe Word.

Regroup Sex and Sentient Thought
I like to watch The Big Chill for a lot of reasons, among them the pleasure of seeing people reconnect with who they used to be. Sometimes we need a reminder of where we came from and who we used to be before the consequences of our choices forced us to adapt and become someone we sometimes have trouble recognizing. Once, a friend of mine mailed me all our previous correspondence (years' worth) to give me perspective like that. We need that to revise our adaptations before they become permanent. The Reunion is the most fun expression of a "time to reflect" I've ever read. Laura Antoniou has a gift for creating well-rounded characters and their plots that Jane Austen would envy. It's all there -- their hopes, gifts, flaws, mishaps and delightful successes make the reader truly care how each interaction plays out. This book doesn't exclude anyone from full-fledged empathy. The diversity of the characters means a diversity of inclusivity for the audience. There are serious moments, but they only serve to make the setting even more vividly believable and intellectually stimulating.Buy this on Kindle so you can take it with you. Buy this in hard copy in case your Kindle battery dies. If there were a third option, I'd take it just to make sure I'd covered all my bases.

Delicious!
There are delicious scenes under the stair at Kaleigh, and between Chris and Lord and Lady Southerby. I love it and the rest of this series. Thank you Laura !
