Q: ok, I just purchased this and I am new to Kefir making. Question how can you clean the straw portion inside?also can the grains multiply in this unit?

I just slide the straw out of the case, pull the cap off the top, blow the inside clean, then run hot water through it. (I only clean once a month) also the grains will grow in the unit just keep it from getting more than 3/4ths full. I love it cause I don't spend more than a minute a day making it

Mason jars. They have only two regular sizes of lid. Both very common.

Q: What’s the best way to ferment the kefir at 110 degrees F?

Never ferment kefir at 110F!! Almost all cells/species will die. Fermentation possible between 72F and 95F. The best is 75F-85F.

Q: Do you have to drink it from the straw or can I pour it into a cup?

It is better to make it in a wide mouth jar with the basket and straw. Then pour it into a larger jar to storage in the refrigerator. Drink it in a glass or cup. I eat my kefir pored over steel cut oat at breakfast. Occasionally I will eat some that has thickened on the side of the storage jar using a spoon. It has the consistency of a cream cheese. Very good.
