Camerons wood smoke products are certainly not the cheapest but... if you're trying to achieve "Master" level smoked barbecue, you'll appreciate these chunks. They are kiln dried, uniform in shape and there is virtually no bark.As you probably know, inferior wood that has a lot of bark on it gives you a gray smoke with a bad smell. This wood produces white smoke (after about 10 minutes) with a lovely scent. My poor neighbors get so jealous when I'm doing an 18 hour brisket.

I was looking for chunks of uniform size and Camerons delivered. The majority of the chunks were 3"x2"x2" with bark removed. There were 5 or so that you could tell were "left over" from cutting the squares from the round tree as these were smaller, rounded and had bark. I'd prefer they keep those for their "non uniform size" product and give me a few more squares so 4 star instead of 5.

I ordered these hickory wood chunks because the ad said 3x2x2 uniform no bark wood chunks. 10lbs worth. When I opened the box I noticed several chunks with bark on it and not uniform cut. 33 pieces all together. 10 had bark on it. You can see in the pics that all the wood only weighs 8lbs 5oz. That is hardly 10lbs. When I weighed the wood with the bark, it came to 2lbs 6oz. What the heck did I pay $35 for? Certainly not what the ad said. The way I see it Camerons Products owes me 4lbs of 3x2x2 uniform cut hickory wood with NO BARK!!!I am only keeping the wood because I am having a football party on Sunday and all the hickory I can find has bark on it.Thanks for nothing Camerons Products. You will never see my money again unless you make this right.

OK< haven't used it yet, wind howling until Monday. Contents of box aren't as in the pictured ad. A few pieces with bark and different, varied sizes, not uniform as shown, to me no big deal, smaller pieces will start smoke sooner. Box to us was a heavy ten pounds. Not a prob.

Nothing major, but it is advertised as 10 lbs. Only it came as 9lbs with box weight.
