Perfect solution for my needs! I wanted to get a bed extender for my new truck. It's a 2023 F-150 XLT Supercab. I looked into a lot of them and this one seemed like the one I wanted. I wasnt disappointed so far. Arrived quickly and well packaged. I also bought the No-Drill kit for the F-150. I wanted the bed extender so I could load a dirt bike straight in the back of my 6.5 ft bed. This basically makes it a long bed pickup, when you need it. I also wanted something to work as a cargo holder in the bed to keep small things from sliding to the front like groceries. Assembly was quick and super easy. Only issue I had was the No-Drill kit did not come with the hardware to mount the Quick Mount Bracket set to the mounting plates in the No-Drill kit. It shows the hardware included in the picture, and I have an email into Amp about the missing pieces. I didnt want to wait though, so a quick trip to the hardware store and $7 later I was good to go. Watched a few assembly videos on youtube and decided to have at it. Everything mounted up and assembled super easy. Whole thing took maybe 45 mins, by myself, taking my time. Looks great, works great so far, and does exactly what I wanted. For those curious (I know I was), this works with the 2023 F-150, works with a factory applied spray in bed liner, and works with the Ford factory tri fold tonneau cover. No issues at all. I was also curious if it would fit my golf clubs easily when in the bed as a cargo holder, which it does! If anything, and it is just nitpicking, I wish it was about 1/2" shorter, because when out on the tailgate, it goes right to the edge and sits on the lip of the F-150 tailgate work surface. I would prefer it sat just a touch more in on the tailgate, but other than that its perfect. Its expensive, but I am more of a buy once, cry once, kind of guy. Highly recommend so far, and if I have any issues I will update.*****Update - I was told by Amp Customer service to file a warranty claim for the missing hardware from the No-Drill Kit. I submitted that request, and was told that this kit does not include this hardware, even though it is clearly show in the picture on Amazon, and on their website. I can see how good their customer service is.... I wont be being more product from them. I did not lower my rating of this product, since this product was exactly as shown, it is the No-Drill Mounting kit they sell that falsely shows hardware that is not actually included...*****

Absolutely perfect fit on my 2024 Ford F-150 extended cab with 6' 7" bed. The Bed Extender installed easily over my bed liner and slips under the tonneau cover with two inches to spare. I highly recommend the "Optional Mounting Supports" that eliminates the need to attach the Extenders mounting brackets directly to the truck bed with the supplied sheet metal screws. The "optional mounting supports" attach directly to the rear stake boxes thru the existing holes in those boxes. The Extenders mounting brackets attach directly to the "mounting supports". At this point I replaced all the mounting screws with stainless steel ones including the 8mm mounting support screws and tooth washers. I discarded the sheet metal screws and replaced them with stainless #10-32 X 1/2" long screws. The only issue i ran into was the two "optional mounting supports" stamped "L" & "R". Simply put, I ended up putting support "R" on the drivers side and the "L" on the passengers side. This moved the entire basket assembly about 1/4" closer to the cab, thus giving the basket a better footing on the tailgate when the tailgate is in the down position. I still have 8' 5" between the front of the box and the inside of the basket. This assembly is incredibly easy to operate and/or remove completely. It is very robust and easy to assemble. Fast delivery. Packaging was perfect. Highly recommend this product.

To carry lumber or bikes or ATVs in your truck bed. It serves that purpose well I imagine. I prefer to use trailers tow my loads lower to the ground.I use the BedXTender HD Max flipped inboard, in what most would consider it's storage position, as a bed divider under my tonneau. If you have looked for a solution to hold stuff near your tailgate then you know there are few options out there and almost all fall seriously short of the desired mark in some or many ways. Most dividers sit way too close to the tailgate so that you can hardly fit a case of bottled water in there much less a cart full of groceries, for those of us who don't stop by the store daily for groceries. Most other extenders don't even fit the bill because they literally cut corners and come in from the bed side at a 45 degree angle. The HD Max when outboard comes all the way to the end of the tailgate and shapes out almost to the corner of the tailgate; when inboard it goes almost all the way to the wheel wells. A typical weekly or bimonthly shopping cart full of Wal-Mart groceries and other household items fit back there well and stay within reach from the ground even for my 5'6" daughter. (Stock stance FX4 F150)Aside from the sales pitch the extender came well packaged with all hardware needed for install. You would need a drill and a few hand tools. For Ford owners there's an optional install kit that I took advantage of that made the install a very easy no-drill straight forward install using pre-existing holes. Seems to be made out of perfectly durable but light weight, sturdy looking and feeling plastic and aluminum heavy enough to be rigid but still comes in under 17 pounds according to the shipping specs. The instructions were adequate but not overly descriptive. I spent a leisurely afternoon from unboxing to closing up my tailgate and tonneau on the final install completely unassisted. Once fully assembled it can be removed or put back in quick and easy just lift it to roughly 45 degrees and it can be engaged/disengaged from the pivot mounting bracket. Even detached from the truck it feels sturdy and solid but is still light enough to carry around effortlessly.The only complaint I have is that AMP products in general are a little pricey, this BedXTender HD Max and it's option Ford mounting kit came in at just under $400 all said and done. That being said, I am satisfied that I got what I paid for. AMP seems to be the real deal as opposed to a knock-off.I would confidently buy AMP Research BedXTender HD Max again even if it meant I needed to save up a couple more bucks to do so.

Easy to install, & super handy when you need that extra space, and helps with all your smaller stuff from rolling around all over the bed of your truck.

I've had this extender a couple of weeks.A couple of notes:1) while it locks to the tail gate latches to secure it when open and extended, the tailgate can bounce up and down, I use a bungee cable between the extender and my tow hooks to keep it held down so it doesn't flap around when in use and there isn't enough weight on the tail gate.2) Additionally on my 2013 f150, the long template is the one you want to use, I used the short not realizing it would be at a tilted angle. I was worried about not being able to flip it past my tonneau cover without opening it more than one panel (3 panel tonneau) but I could have easily done so with the long template. It works fine but my OCD doesn't like the slight angle the short template puts the extender at.Other than that, simple install very light weight, seems pretty rugged and easy to use.

Came as specified and on time. I used the template supplied . The template did not match the mounting bracket. Only use the template to make one hole and use the actual bracket to mark the other two holes. The rest of the installation was easy.
