In the past some other seller sent wrong width string and explained that the size I need is nit made anymore. Pleasantly surprised that I found this one and seller sent the right size too. It has been working flawlessly for 2 weeks now. Will update if it breaks relatively soon.

Works well. Very slight ridge where ends of line are joined. Holding up without breaking for a couple of months now.

We measured the cord size needed and it was 5 ft and the shipment arrived promptly and the cord was inside a plastic envelop clearly marked 5 ft. However, the cord actually measured 6 feet. We thought perhaps there was some measurement fact we hadn't calculated and so ordered a 4 ft cord. This cord did measure 4 ft and did not fit. We returned the 4 ft cord and ordered another 5 ft cord, thinking the first was a fulfilment mistake. The new cord arrived labeled 5 ft and yet measured 6 ft. So not sure what to think. Is this two fulfillment mistakes or some manufacturing problem we 5 ft cords. Baffled.

I Googled how to repair a torn cord loop and there are many videos on how to do so. They all look like a nightmarish and tedious task that could have a lot of missteps along the way. Measuring and buying the proper length was way easier. As for the ease of installation... well that depends on which model and company you are dealing with. I have Hunter Dougleas and the 4 stars rating I gave reflects the fact that it was a moderately involved process for me to take the unit apart to be able to remove and replace the torn cord.

This cord fits perfectly, but I thought 5 feet in size meant a 5-foot Circle, not a 10 ft Loop I'm keeping it just because it doesn't look bad hanging there a little bit extra long
