Good read
Although I enjoyed reading this first installment of violets stories I could of done without all the time spent with the killer but none the less a very good read with believable characters and story line that kept me turning the pages.

Good read
Wasn’t too keen on reading the gruesome account of the killers conversation with the head etc. but it was still an excellent plot.

Welcome to Violet Darger, FBI Agent
The first book in the Violet Darger series sees our rookie FBI Agent teamed with experienced colleague Loshak helping Athens, Ohio police find a serial killer of college age girls. I've only given this 4 stars because I'm reading the series out of sequence and they certainly get better with reach outing. If you like you'd crime thrillers pretty gruesome and your detectives unconventional this is the series for your.

A Good Thriller
This was a good thriller, a little predictably American CSI but I really liked the complex characters particularly Violet. I also really enjoyed the chase and the ending.

A great action/ murder that I would highly recommend.
Once again this writing duo have proven that they can write any genre and make a total success of it. They have taken on the murder/ action book on this occasion and we have a female lead who is a rookie FBI agent investigating a serial killer. She gets thrown in at the deep end, when her more experienced partner is taken ill, however she tried to rise to the occasion without be coming a victim herself. If you are a fan of McBain and Vargus this will be a surprise but has all their great writing skills, if you don't know these writers but enjoy a good murder mystery give it a try and you may end up with new favourite authors.

A page turning murder fest
Another winner from the powerhouse that is L .T . Vargus and Tim McBain. I was intrigued as to if a crime novel would have the same impact as the horror works which I am familiar with, I was wrong to have any doubts. As with any novel from this duo, the characters suck you in and you are easily embroiled in the world around them. This novel is at times graphic in its portrayal of the murder victims, but this adds to the realism throughout. A must read for fans of these authors, Patricia Cornwell and anyone with a morbid fascination for serial killers.
