This is needed in our world of today's maintenance only of fluid changing. It's a must for Toyota/Lexus vehicles. Its ease of use and ability to access the fill plugs is undeniable. I strongly recommend it and the price pays for itself after a couple uses and is, surprisingly, long lasting.

I previously used two different hand pumps to transfer oil: one that fit on top of a quart bottle, the other with two hoses on the ends. Both of these types are messy and a pain.This Motive is similar to their brake bleeder pumps but larger. It can pump 2gal which is more than enough for my purposes (usually 4-6 qts). I like the pressure meter and most of the time, you don't need much. The clear hose is high quality-as are the hardware. I liked the aluminum straw which I bent even more to fit the fill hole. This POWER FILLER was the bomb and worth the money. I believe it's made in USA too. The only downside is there are a few oz left in the reservoir and in the tubing that can't get pushed through. In other words if you fill it with 6qts, expect to be able to fill 5.9 qts.

So far this tool works perfectly. Time will tell if it holds up. If you do more than a couple of transmission, differential, or transfer case drain & fills, then you NEED this.What a time saver.... no more screwing around with those cheap little plastic hand pumps.Pumps 90w GL1 gear oil at 50f no problem.

I’m sure that a 15 dollar sprayer from any lawn and garden store could do the job for most fluids. This is much more durable and would be better suited for a mechanic shop vs the do it yourself’er that only changes their transmission fluid once every few years.

This pump was fantastic for filling! Just pumped up to 30psi, made sure to fully tighten the coupler keeping the red J-nozzle from falling out, then sat and watched for the oil to start overflowing.

I love this pump. I own several Motive products and I haven't had one issue with any of them, but, I don't know what happened to the valve and stem. It simply didn't work. It leaked from the start and the stem fell out the valve. In the middle of pumping trans fluid into my transmission. Luckily I was able to close the valve but, Come on Man. I had to cut the tube off and finish my job pumping the fluid manually. I could have bought the $14 hand pump if I wanted to do that. I had like 15 secs of "look at this", followed by "WTF" man! The pump is still awesome and I'll buy another NPT fitting and keep living life.Update 1:Ok I fixed the issue.

I am an auto tech by trade and I actually own 3 of these for different types of fluid. They work great, are easy to use, just fill it up and use a tire inflator to pressurize it. Just a word of caution, keep it to 30 psi or less, I actually saw someone put about 150 psi to it and the results were as expected. Transmission fluid everywhere and he got to buy a new one.

While it's not as fast as one hooked up to a compressor it's about as easy as you can get with out having a shop air supply. Since I only plan to put Amsoil ATF in it and had to flush out much of the old fluid with cheaper WTS I used the standard one quart bottle pump first to put in 4 quarts. That only took about 20 minutes and lots of pumping.After I drained out the second fill I loaded this up with Amsoil Signature ATF and the next 4 quarts took about 3 minutes with only having to pump up the pressure a second time. It works quite a bit like a garden sprayer in that regard. Only much better quality than most.

Worked so well for changing transaxle oil on my Porsche 911. I also ordered adaptors for pressure bleeding brakes and clutches on Ford, Gm, and Porsche's.

Works great for tranny oil change/top up.Worth every penny. No more one liter hand pump while trying not to get scalded by hot exhaust and do the fill up before tranny temp gets too hot. Highly recommended , makes a messy job a lot easier.

Works excellent for filling transmissions with no dipstick tube.

Get this one over the smaller tank as it comes with a real shut off valve. Larger capacity and the ability to quickly switch filler tips is worth the money. I have the small one too and primarily use it for filling differentials now.Both work great after a year of shop use.

Holds nine litres of transmission w Works really well. Would have like a few different nozzles though.
