Wished it was rechargeable but works great

O sistema que segura a lanterna na cabeça é extremamente frágil e mal desenvolvido. São dois pequenos pinos de plástico que seguram a dois encaixes na lanterna. Só o peso da própria lanterna é suficiente para removê-la do suporte caso balance a cabeça. Já caiu no chão por desprender involuntariamente do suporte inúmeras vezes no trabalho comigo, tornando um produto não confiável para trabalhos delicados. A qualidade do feixe e o brilho são conforme prometido, afinal foi testado usando o padrão ANSI FL1.

This headlamp looked like the best choice after doing some research, and we are very happy with it.It is very bright and usable for any type of task, it works great for work around the house or garage, as well as at night for walking and lighting up a path.We also have had great experience with Coast customer support, we own another couple of their flashlights and after one started to have intermittent issues with the power button, they sent a replacement no questions asked.Something to note when comparing it to others - a lot of other headlamps look like they will be much brighter and have multiple bulbs, but lumen ratings are often overinflated and more bulbs don't always equate to more light, and this one provides plenty of light even on medium power.

The headlamp gives good coverage, durable and it tilts down too (not all of them do), it's pretty handy.

For the price ($20 at time of writing) it's a decent headlamp - it's not too bulky, has a comfortable reflective headstrap, and it's easy to use with just one large power switch on top. With the fixed focus it works better in close rangeThere are three issues as I see it now, with little use so far - low brightness mode has a very noticeable strobe effect on anything that is moving, and to me it's not comfortable to look at. LEDs are dimmed by turning off and on rapidly at different ratios, but if not done quickly (i.e., inexpensive hardware) you can see this effect making things look jittery. I'd rather it just be high and medium modes, as those are more stable.The last two issues are just concerns that will have to be seen over time. First, the tilt mechanism feels very loose, and those always get looser with use, I'm concerned it won't be long till it flops. Last issue is the tab-clasp used to hold the battery door shut; this is always the part that breaks on every manufacturers' headlamps. It's just too small and fragile to expect it to last any roughhousing. I look forward to being proven wrong.
