Stainless Steel Hydration Bottle

I originally bought the black colored model of this 10+ years ago and loved them! Simple and easy to clean--just what I ask. Also have contigo brand ones around (there seem to be 100's of different models of these, brought in from my kids, and just matching lids/vessels is a nightmare... and their lids are complex--difficult to clean). My original thermos' eventually were lost, but I recall buying the caps from thermos for a reasonable price once during the time I owned them. When looking to replace them, I found they weren't available, but these purple ones were. Great! They look to be identical. Upon receiving them, I see "for cold liquids only" written on label and owners guide. Read some other review saying that they weren't engineered for hot liquids. Hmmm... Well, in my case, this is a big deal. To me, a thermos isn't about hot or cold--it's a tool to prevent heat transfer. If I want a liquid to stay cold, I don't want heat transferring in. Visa-versa for hot liquid. Due to me not seeing a difference in construction to the ones I owned previous, I will be using these for liquids up to 212F. It's a stainless steel vessel--quite capable of storing hot liquid (<212F). The silicon/plastic cap is the weakest part, but still quite capable. I'm chalking this up to Thermos reducing it's liability. If it was truly a concern, they would define "hot."Something to note: In manual states "Hot liquids can scald or burn user." This confirms a liability concern. Some may be concerned with BPA leaching into hot drink from silicon/plastic. In my case, it's not a concern, but others' may want to look into it.i'll update if I find any difference in performance from ones I initially purchased. Take care!

I've bought this exact brand and style, but different colors, 5 times now. I like the press -to-open top, which keeps the drinking spout clean. The size is perfect for smaller hands and most cup holders, and my water stays cold all day.The lid does crack easily if the bottle falls, but I've never had a lid shatter or fall apart after a fall, so I just keep using it. Also, I wish it had a ring on the cap because it's tiresome to carry for a long periods of time.Still, this is the only water bottle I want to buy. (My need to buy new bottles has always been because I've lost it or left it behind somewhere, never because of a defect.)

I have been using these particular Thermos bottles for years. They are very durable and work well. They only leak a bit if the rubber gasket inside the cap is not fitted properly. Once the gasket is in its proper place, the bottle won't leak. They keep beverages cold for a long time without condensation on the outside.

I love this product as it keeps water/ice cold for a long time, it’s the right size to fit in the car cup holder and it’s easy to clean. If you drop it too often and the bottom seal is affected it loses its cool retention, so be careful.

It will even keep ice frozen all day for a cold beverage on a hot day.

These Thermos' last for years and maintain the temperature for hours whether the contents are hot or cold. The only negative that I've found is that the lid hinges don't hold up to dropping them several times {shrug} accidents do happen. The good thing is that you can buy new lids for a reasonable price directly from the company.And I just love the new colors!

I've been using this Thermos style for years because it's leakproof due to the flip lock feature, easy to clean and add ice because of the large mouth. So convenient being able to use it one-handed. Always have had gray ones and am delighted with this beautiful purple color and that it is just as well made as all my others. Do wish it was engineered for hot as well as cold but it does a great job keeping the beverage cold for a long time.

I love this thermos, it keeps the hot drink warm at least 8 hours, and keeps cold drink cold too.
