ideal replacement for failed switch on standard lamp, easy to fit

Neat looking but a bit fiddly to wire up...but works ok

This switch was simple to install, works perfectly, good quality, and value for money.

Used for converting halogen uplighter with sliding dimmer contol (240 watt r7) to equivalent LED 17 watt non dimmable r7 bulb. A little tricky to wire up, but it worked.

very cheep and no space for standard 240 volt cable. or get to locking screws. UNSAFE.

Googled how to fit took two minutes to replace old faulty switch good as new

The foot switch does what it’s supposed to do, but the connections are not the most sturdy.

It could do with fitting instructions.It's actually very well designed - it is identical to the one that was on my expensive 15-year-old lamp (down to the markings inside the switch) - which lasted 15 years of daily use.The key to fitting is the small writing embossed one the internal switch which tell you that the wire release is on the side.With a small flat-head screwdriver inserted into the small rectangular end-holes, a wire can then be inserted into the main cable holes and when the flat-head screwdriver is removed, the wire is then gripped firmly inside the hole.The wire will not go in (far) unless the screwdriver in the side is inserted correctly, so fiddle with the screwdriver it until the wire slides in easily (then remove the screwdriver and the internal mechanism will grip the wire).The wire to be inserted should be prepared well beforehand. By twisting tightly and maybe even making 'hard' with a drop of solder. Otherwise the individual copper strands will distort when pushed in.If you get it right it works easily.
