Unibos Professional 5 Prong Grass Lawn Aerator Plant Growth Outdoor Garden Hollow Tine

A garden fork is probably easier
On first inspection, this looks well made and exactly the right tool to aerate a lawn. When I used it, however, I had difficulty getting it to penetrate the lawn, even with 14 stone of my weight pushing down, and all that happened was that the upper bar, on which you put your weight, gave way on one side where the weld wasn't obviously quite strong enough. So I gave up, went and fetched a garden fork, which has much sharper points than this tool, obviously, and used that instead. It's a nice idea to hollow tine a lawn, but, in my opinion, a garden fork works better.

Broke first time I used it!
This is very low quality and broke first time I used it. Admittedly, my soil is fairly compacted, but I didn't expect it to break first time. The welds on the tines are minimal and didn't like my weight (I'm not even that heavy at 60kg) pushing down on them.

Crap
Blocks up instantly, if your lawn is soft enough for you to be able to use this it will block up straight away and just make holes without taking cores out.

Sturdy but not as sharp as I thought
Not as sharp as I thought is going to be.

Don't buy
Very poor quality product

Very difficult to use
The prongs get blocked very easily, which makes it impossible to use. Applying foot pressure is also very difficult as the width of the tool is not conducive to large feet. On the whole, most disappointing purchase from Amazon

Not for clay soil
Doesn’t work well on clay. Also not for people taller than 1.7 meters. Wear gloves you’ll get blisters. If on clay hammer the pipes closes at the bottom else you will be hitting joint shock
