Draft Guard Cover, Black

The fireplace cover was packaged well, looks good (can hardly see it on my black metal fireplace), and does the trick. I would have given it a higher rating if they had included a few more magnets.

So I wrote this big long review about how the corners of this item were bent due to poor pac-kag-ing and how that reduced the overall value of the product. The Powers That Be kept my review from being posted. I'm sorry but pac-kag-ing on this item is a problem and people should know about that when it affects the product that they receive.Beyond the above stated issues, this product is difficult to handle and unwieldy. The edges and corners seem a bit sharp. Keep your toddlers away. It is definitely a more attractive solution to covering/hiding the fireplace than what we have going on right now, but this thing will not stand upright flush against the fireplace (at least not in my house). You have to at least partially angle the folds or invest another $100+ just to get a screen to hold it up. Mine came with 6 magnets, so I suppose if your fireplace has metal along the edges, that may be a solution. Mine also came with a single random metal thing that looks like it could be slid along one edge of the product but whose purpose I cannot fathom. There were no directions.FYI, mine has a sticker that says Made in India.

Covers standard fireplace opening well.

The item arrived dented with a damaged box. There were no magnets or way to attach to fireplace opening. I had to use wire and duct tape to keep it in place. I would not recommend paying $100+ for a metal tri-fold.

Great quality, its heavy with a beautiful finish. I've been intending to cover up my fireplace for a few years now, and this was the perfect solution! Although the cover is slightly larger than my fireplaces' rectangular opening, I am using (3) 1" x 13mm neodymium magnets to secure the cover from the inside for a tight fit. Its looks clean, easy to remove if needed, and appears to be a natural extension of my fireplace. Glad I made this purchase! FYI: I ordered the re-stocked "used" item, it looks like new.

Great for fireplace. It did come with some rust on it. We cleaned it up and it works very well. It’s heavy

I live in Florida with a fireplace that still works accept its to hot to be used. I was losing my air conditioning up the fireplace so I use this to permanently seal up the opening. The size was perfect and with a little bit of gorilla glue sealant it is perfect. Now I keep my cool air in the house instead of it escaping up the fire place. The dark color makes it look like its just the regular opening to the fireplace build in 1957 when the winters were much cooler than they are today, thanks to global warming. It works great for this purpose and I just love it, not to mention my lower cooling bill!
