The Weight
I just purchased this reel and weighed it. It weighs 2.68 ounces. That is how much it weighs bare, out of its packaging, and with no line added. I am into ultralight backpacking, and sometimes like to include fly fishing gear. That is why I care about product weight. When asked, the Amazon AI question answerer informed me the reel's weight was 0.8 ounces. That would have been wonderful . . . but alas, is not the truth. So if you care about the weight, mine weighs 2.68 ounces. The body of the reel is 2 3/8" in diameter. It looks like a "little" fly reel. I have not used it yet, and it looks a little crudely engineered, so I gave it three stars for that and the AI lie. When I get it set up and have used it a bit, maybe I'll be able to improve the rating. Stay tuned.
