Gideon and Brie
Brilliant book which I absolutely loved and would thoroughly recommend hoping that others enjoy it as much as i did. Brie is a submissive Redwood pack wolf and Gideon is the Alpha if the Talon Pack. Recognising that they are mates can these two wolves come together. More importantly can Gideon loosen control on his wolf and let his mate Brie be the Alpha female the pack needs.

Excellent Start to a New Series
Title: Tattered LoyaltiesAuthor: Carrie Ann RyanFormat: e-bookGenre: Romance, Paranormal, Shifter (wolf). Fantasy, forced marriage, fated matesStandalone: not really Ending sets up the next book but I think the couple’s story is complete.Part of a Series: Talon Pack book onePOV: Gideon, Brie, Finn, Leo, Brynn:Steam Level: steamy at times4/5I hace quite a few Carrie Ann Ryan books in my TBR but I don’t think I’ve read any yet. I chose Tattered Loyalties because it’s nearing Halloween and I wanted something in the realm of fantasy or paranormal but I wasn’t in the mood for horror. I’m glad I chose Tattered Loyalties as it was quite fun with magic, shifters and fated (but reluctant) mates. Although I didn’t realize it was a spin off of the Redwood pack series sou May look into that first before continuing this series. I didn’t feel like anything was lost in not reading that series first but I do feel like it would open up more of this world and yes history.I loved the themes of every Wild having a place in shifter society - even the “weaker”, submissive wolves. I loved that Brie could and would defend herself when needed and was never written as weak despite what some of the other characters thought of her. Overall Tattered Loyalties is a great start to a new series and I look forward to reading more Carrie Ann Ryan.

Gideon & Brie <3
This is the first book that I have read by Carrie Ann Ryan and it definitely won't be the last!!! This is one of the best shifter books that I have read!! Gideon & Brie were fantastic characters and their story was beautifully written. Gideon was Alpha and Brie was a submissive wolf...those two usually never go together, let alone mated, but that is the hand they were dealt. I loved that Brie wasn't a dominant wolf, yet she had strength in herself and would protect her family from any danger. Her and Gideon meshed so well, and I loved that Gideon gave her room to prove herself to his pack...well, not without some obstacles. Gideon was Alpha through and through, and I loved that!! He was protective over Brie, and sometimes it got overbearing, but they worked it out. I loved watching their interactions and how they started to learn about each other outside of the pack. I absolutely loved Gideon & Brie's family and I loved how the two packs worked together. This book had more than just shifters, it had magic & evil. I hated Shannon & Leo...I am so glad they got what they deserved!! This book was suspenseful, passionate & thrilling!! I am so excited for the next book to this series!!

Strong Alpha Couple
This story is well executed and well written. There were a few grammatical and spelling errors but not enough to distract from the storyline. I liked the main characters. They were good as a couple. Their love grew as their mating bond grew stronger. The secondary characters are supportive of the main characters. The plot is undefined as there is a cliffhanger at the end of the story. The subplots are nearly all completed, except the ones connected to the cliffhanger. There is adult language and explicit sex in this novel.

Excellent intro to the new Talon Pack
I love Carrie Ann Ryan's Montgomery Ink series, and other books she's written. This is my first shifter book by this author, and I loved it! The characters are so rich and developed, with detailed backstories and family histories. The plot flies yet leaves nothing to chance. We're given so much information that it's overwhelming at times, but very easy to follow, even without reading the previous Redwood Pack books. Gideon Brentwood is all alpha, all man, and all heart. He lives and breathes for his pack, and the responsibilities weigh heavy on his mind and soul. Finding his mate, a submissive from another pack, Brie Jamenson, should be a happy occasion, but can she find a way into the hearts of a broken and suspicious pack, while trying to find her own way and happiness with a man she doesn't truly know or understand? I rooted for these two, and for the happiness of their families and friends throughout the story.

Wow, loved it!
This is my first book by Carrie Ann Ryan, and it wont be my last. I loved it! I’m thinking I might need to backtrack to a series before this because there are parts referring to other stories. But I really want to read about Brynn and Finn. This story is different than other shifter books. The dynamics of the pack are unique with alpha, beta, omega and healers mean a lot more in this series.

Wow what a read
Wow what a read, I was glued to it. Gideon is the Alpha of the Talon pack, their history is long and his family have worked hard to make changes that were positive but things are moving behind the scenes which will put things into play that Gideon fears. Brie is a submissive wolf from the Redwood pack, she’s known who her mate was since she was 17 and first saw him but never acted on it because she knew mating a dominant alpha would never work but what happens when the two come face to face???Amazing read, story, plot and characters were great. Lots of angst but this story revolves around a partnership which morphs into love. Lots of sexy moments which will have you a bit hot under the collar, great character dynamic. I’m loving this series so far and can’t wait to carry on reading. Would recommend to shifter lovers.

Great series
If you like shifter series then this one's for you. Loved the writing and the emotions, highly recommend. Does end on a cliffhanger though so be ready to dive into another series before starting this one.

good story but horrible editing
Quite a good story - a submissive being the fated mate of an alpha wolf from another pack promises an interesting plot and characters, and I was not disappointed. How Brie manages to find her place in the new pack - and the respect of the pack members - was well told, and shows that, as the saying goes, you should not judge a book by its cover. What did put me off (and cost this a star - sorry) was the very poor editing; I can live with a couple of spelling errors, but here someone did a very bad job: there were wrong pronouns (she instead of he and vice versa), words were missing their endings or were left out completely of sentences. That was really annoying.I will not put me off reading the other books in this series, though - the characters were too interesting, with a depth that was suprising.

When Opposites Attract ...
When I first started reading this book, I thought that this was a domestic assault waiting to happen. That generally is the case when an insecure alpha type and a overly demure submissive type get together. Not so - this turned out to be a particularly sweet recounting of how a marriage between strangers with opposing temperaments can be built up with compromise and mutual respect as well as love, in when circumstances turn tumultuous. The leadup to book 2 intrigues - gotta to see what happens when a fed up female goes after an oblivious male.
