BIC Original Retractable Ball Pen

I always seem to lose my favorite pens. . . and with this one- I refused. I wrote down the type, style and kept it for future reference--just in case I'm unable to find it at local stores and (ultimately) they might be discontinuing! This style has been my favorite for years it seems. Recently, I ordered what I assumed to be the same type-- but with "Fashion" added in the name. It was entirely different-- and not in a good way. The Fashion pens unscrew if left loose in a purse or pocket, and frequently leak ink or inside the tube you will notice ink "spills" that make a mess all over your hand and clothing. Not to mention they are downright not nearly as comfortable to use as the regular Atlantis. The ink seems to last FOREVER-- and these have never leaked in my experience! Go for the Atlantis- original style-- and you should not be disappointed!

Pros: Seems to write without skipping.Cons: I expected a thicker writing point. This is not the medium point I am use to. The grip is too small (in diameter) and uncomfortable, and the weight is too light. Writing is more fatiguing without these three qualities. I prefer the comfort of a silicone grip.I would not recommend to someone who journals daily.

Not smooth, just a cheap pen that writes like a cheap pen. Ink globs up and then gets scratchy. No consistency. Save your money.

This inexpensive retractable ballpoint pen glides easily which reminds me of a gel pen. I really like the comfort rubber grip which reduces getting a callouse on your middle finger for those of us you write a lot. The downside since the grip is firmly in place,is that you cannot see when the pen is about to run out of ink. It could only be ecologically improved by making it a refillable pen w/ readily available inexpensive refills. I plan to order more once my supply of other pens diminishes. BIC has a produced a clear winner for such an inexpensive pen.

I am always looking for a great pen. These pens are cheap and write great.

Great pen. I would describe the point as medium/fine which is perfect for me. Once you use it the first few times the ink flows instantly. The fact that it doesn't click takes a bit of getting used to.
