This owl is just the cutest thing ever! It looks so much better in real life than it did in any of the photos. I was glad that I didn’t cheap out and chose to buy the one with the swiveling head—it is a great feature that gives it a more life-like appearance. I bought it to discourage a hawk from going after the birds in my yard. I haven’t seen the hawk since putting it out, but can’t say for certain if it is the owl that is deterring it, or one of the several other things that I did. I actually don’t care how effective it is because it is cool looking and works great as a yard ornament. It is a pretty decent size and, after filling it with small rocks, is heavy. It is intelligently designed and the inner cavity for the sand or rocks is large (after reading one review, I was under the impression that it was just the base that you could add the rocks or sand to).

These have effectively kept the birds out of my yard. It is important to move them every few days, but they are realistic looking, not too small, and work!

Bought these for the birds- they were attacking our shiny black car in the driveway. Put one on a tomato stake near the driveway, and the birds left the car alone.Neighbors thought we were a little odd… but worked!

The media could not be loaded.  Bird leader scoped it out the first day and then let all his friends know it was fake. It did scare the bunnies away, which we didn’t want. Took it down and they appeared again. Did not work for the birds.. any and all sizes. Picture says it all.

We had a horrible time with keeping clean food and water out for our puppy. The owl has solved that problem. As long as we move it every couple of days we have no bird feathers it poop in the food and water, or even on the patio!

After 2 days on the terrace and moving them from one spot to another, the pigeons came in closer and closer till one landed on the head of the owl as you can see in the picture. So, it was a waste of money

We have had an issue with a robin who is dedicated to building bird's nests on our deck we were clearing at least three completed nests every day we knock them down and she's building back up and she started using a lot of mud and there's mud all over our deck we had to take our swing down and that's where she's building up over the swing so we finally ordered these owls and I put them up and the next morning I looked out and she was standing right next to one of them with a mouthful of straw to work on another nest! But they are cute and we'll leave them there what we ended up doing was taking a net that you cover bushes with and fruit trees and draped it over the place where she was building the nests and she finally left.

The owls look great and also seem to be sturdy. Got them mostly for mockingbirds - apparently blue jays like them as they literally hang out right next to them. Funny. But I have to admit things are more quiet with the owls around.

I filled it up with rocks to weigh it down and it seems to be working well. I haven't seen any birds on my balcony since. I had issues with pigeons and other small birds coming on my balcony (4th floor) and leaving poops everywhere, a mess to clean up. This owl is working for me.

We have 2 decks in our unit in a condo tower & have been subject to pigeons trying to loft on both. These seem to keep them at bay so far.

Birds sit right beside them. And even though they’re returnable, you have to pay the shipping, which makes it useless because shipping will cost just as much as the item.
