Ein gutes Netzteil reicht leider nicht für einen leisen PCZunächst war ich doch etwas verblüfft, wie luxuriös ein Netzteil aussehen kann. Etwas ärgerte es mich, denn die 10 Euro für die Verpackung und die 20 Euro für das lackierte Gehäuse hätte man das Netzteil günstiger machen können. Es soll schließlich in einen Computer hinein, nicht auf meinem Schreibtisch stehen oder abends an einer silbernen Kette um meinen Hals baumeln.Nun gut, um den Hals baumeln ist eh keine gute Idee, denn das Netzteil wiegt richtig viel, was auch ein Hinweis auf die Qualität ist: Metall leitet Wärme. Klingt logisch.An Qualität mangelt es definitiv nicht. Das Stecksystem ist super und der Geräuschpegel unglaublich gering.-> Volle Qualität-Punkte, aber dennoch recht viel Geld für ein Netzteil.Ich kann es trotzdem empfehlen, auch wenn mir ein grauer Kasten gereicht hätte. Im Computer unter dem Tisch sieht man es eh nicht.Aber viel wichtiger: man hört es auch nicht.Schnell noch einmal unter den Tisch gekrochen und vergewissern: doch, der Lüfter dreht sich, alles super.Leider habe ich wieder bemerkt, ein leises Netzteil allein reicht nicht.Dann ist da noch der CPU-Kühler, natürlich braucht es hier auch einen dicken Kühler mit großem Lüfter. Auch den besitze ich, der kam allerdings in einem Papier-Karton.Aber dann ist da noch die Grafikkarte, zum Glück hat die bei mir auch 2 Lüfter, die sich nicht so schnell drehen.Aber wer denkt schon weiter…Eine SSD ist schön leise, doch die alte HDD mit Plattenplatz dreht sich auch recht laut und schnell… und das führt dazu, dass das gesamte PC-Gehäuse mit summt.Also ein schwerer Buch drauf gelegt, wusste ich doch dass die Dinger für etwas gut sind, da vibriert nichts mehr.JETZT ist der PC schön leise!Das führte leider zu neuen Problemen: Der UnityMedia-Router und die externe WD MyCloud-Festplatte sollten sich ruhig etwas vom be quiet! abschauen.Deren Kühl-System scheint veraltet, man hat einfach ein paar Hummeln hinter Gittern gesperrt, die mit den Flügeln schlagen :(Jetzt ist der PC leise und die externen Geräte machen krach… ich hör sogar den Kühlschrank bis ins Büro…

Old PSU died so I thought I'd try be quiet, never used them before but with limited selections available I had little choice.Received the product in good condition and on time despite the current global situation but upon unboxing I noticed that it was shipped with a 2 prong plug and not the 3 prong standard UK plug, luckily I have one available from my previous PSU, I just had to make sure I had the correct fuse (3amp) for the cable, the install wasn't overly complicated, I had to remove my old cables as the input for the module was different than my previous corsair PSU which was expected.The only other issue was the power cable for the motherboard, which came loose during install, I assume this was my fault although I thought I pushed it in tight, put it was easy to correct.

The PSU is solidly built and nicely finished with modular cabling system.It was dead silent for about a month and then for no apparent reason the fan(I believe it is the fan as there is no other moving parts) inside the psu started getting noisier. I can now hear the noise inside my Fractal Designs ATX case - I know it's from the PSU because I have stopped all the fans and I also have physically placed my ear next to the unit just to confirm that the psu is indeed the source of the noise.I am very disappointed.

I’ve gone and switched power supplies twice now. I first upgraded my GPU from a 3060 ti to a 3070 ti and i was using a 600 W EVGA power supply which actually was fairly quiet and good. As a 3070 ti requires 750W of power minimum i had originally upgraded to the Corsair CX750F RGB that was quiet loud and was making my system freeze, crash and many more usual things. I then returned that and gotten this be quiet PSU hoping for a nice quiet system but it just isn’t unfortunately. Im not sure if it is coil whine but it’s just a weird noise that comes from it making it louder than my GPU and CPU fan its quite annoying. Its not the biggest issue ever it’s definitely better than the corsair but its just i wanted something really quiet it doesn’t live up to the hype as some of these reviews make it out to be or maybe im just unlucky.

Everything about this unit shouts quality. It's all just perfect - from the packaging, to the cabling - and of course the box-of-tricks itself. The unit was purchased to replace an almost identical one that did excellent service 24 hours a day for nearly eight years. The socket arrangement on the new PSU is slightly different, but I was advised to replace all the cables anyway. Threading them through the confines of the case while being careful not to damage anything was the only slightly tricky part of the job. My PC is now back in action and is still quieter than a mouse! A really great piece of kit.
