Recessed Center
The center is recessed on the bottom, so the '1"' height measurement is only accurate regarding the rim. They're about 1/2" thick in the center.

Don't seat right on top of jack.
I own and operate a roadside assistance business, I tested these right away on our jacks which are standard 3 ton floor jacks. The way they fit on top isn't good, unsafe and I feel they come off way to easily which would be very unsafe for us. I do not recommend buying these. They will be sitting around I guess, but not being used on our customers vehicles for sure.

Slotted and Solid
One of the old pads (six months old) on my lift cracked while I had a car on it. No danger but the rubber pad that keeps it from being metal on metal was damaged.I measured and took a chance on these because they have the slot that is needed for newer unibody cars to lift on the pinch weld area.I measured and drilled holes to mount them to the pads and they seem like they will do the job.I will update if anything changes.
