I can tell the person or persons who selected my piece of driftwood took great care to find a aesthetically pleasing selection. I thank them. I didn't boil mine in salt water.. however I did boil it.. then rinsed, dried, and sanded it a bit, then rinsed, boiled 1 more time, and let soak for several days and I didn't have any issues with it leaking color anymore. Floating was never an issue with this particular piece.I did think I was getting 2 pieces, however they only sent one. I'm okay with it though because it is a nice piece.

One of the Larger pieces was pulled from a camp fire or something. You can clearly see several places where it has been burned. I have boiled, washed, soaked, wiped down, several times for over a week. No way to get rid of the burnt places without it breaking. Best I can do is try to cut it out and with the sturdiness of it, it will probably break into several small pieces when I paid for 2 Large. The other piece seems to be the bark off of some kind of tree rather than actual wood. Will never buy real driftwood online again.

I purchased all three sizes and they arrived together. The large size fit the measurementsfor the medium size, but short one piece. Not a good value.
