Harry Potter for adults - with more fever and fight than flight
Hooray, Leda is back! Discovering the next Legion book is out made my day. Happily, this book lives up to the brilliant series, and may be even better than the last. The gang is back together, returning after their absences in earlier books, with snark and fun.Leda is as great and insubordinate as ever, now catapulted into being a newbie angel/demigod, struggling to fly straight and to avoid being played. Her straight angel counterparts make Leda’s most un-angelic nature even funnier. Make the Angel of Chaos hormonal, and, well, you have this book. It could be called angel fever or fight more than angel flight. The joyful spirit in these books sets them apart. It grabs your attention and is guaranteed to make you smile. This lightness and energy is not lost through the complicated exposition or dark events, as often happens in a long series. While the series is structured based on the angel gift levels, by book 8, it thankfully hasn’t become dry, laboured or drawn out. I mean, what other book would have a monster that is a whale/frog-cross or a hedge? This is one of my favourite series. It has humour, engaging characters, an inventive world, clever magical concepts, powerful romance, depth to the story and characters, triumph, growth and surprises. Plus a kitten. Basically, it’s Harry Potter for adults.Five stars for one of the best series of its kind. Highly recommended.

Great book
Wow. This book was great & fun to read. Back to the beginning series styles of action, intrigue, sweet moments between Nero & Leda and revelations. Lots happens in this book. I can’t reveal much or I’d spoil the plot. I really enjoyed it. You can see the love between them. More is revealed about them & the series arc plot. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to move forward to the next book.

Great series and great book
I have been with the series since the beginning and I haven’t been disappointed yet! I might have wanted more about the new post and moving in but the end was perfect! I look forward to the next book.

What a game changer
The book picks right up where it left off. Those who doubted Nero, shouldn't have. He is who we thought he was. That said, what he DOES have to say has very big implications that give you a hint to the rest of the book. Nero and Leda are devoted to each other and will always act accordinglyIn this book we get to see Leda back with her friends after being separated last book and their interactions and jokes are as wonderful as ever. Nero gives Leda a gift for when he is away from her that adds solid humor to the story. I also suspect it isn't exactly what we think it is. These interactions are some of the things that make the book stand out for me from others. In this book Ella explores what it means for Leda to be an angel with her unique heritage because as we have seen through out the books, Leda is not like anyone else and that has lots of implications and challenges. There is also an issue as the number of angels at any one time is capped because they have territorial instincts and only one territory was open and there are two newly made angels. We also get Leda's angel name. Now for the plot, I like how Ella plays on our expectations. The dangers seem to be two fold, the strange emotional outbreaks among the Legion solders and the beasts/monsters are acting up. The cause for each were very interesting with huge implications and changes in our character's lives both large and small ways. It also gives more history of the world and the current factions and what some of the power players are up to. I enjoyed watching Leda really grow and come into herself. Her growth over the course of novels has been great and I love the choices she has made about who she wants to be and what she wants to represent. I also loved getting to see more of Nyx and other more powerful characters as Leda approaches their power level. No one is immune to Leda's brand of chaos and influence. As for the end, wow. I'm not sure I'd call it a cliffhanger, but Leda's next mission (and therefore the likely plot of the next book) was assigned to her and WOW. I cannot wait to see how that goes.

Angel’s Flight Soars
Ella summers is a such a talented writer. This is the 8th book in the Legion of Angels series and the story line is still fresh. The characters are still developing, and the action is still “by the seat of your pants/didn’t see that coming” intense. All the characters, whether primary or secondary, have a vested role in the plot and their respective appearances make sense, so there is no questioning why so-and-so makes some random appearance or why an important character from a previous book just fell off with no explanation.Angel’s Flight is a double whammy for Leida Pierce. She is a newly transitioned angel AND she goes into FEVER (ovulation). The fever doesn’t hit female angels until at least 50yrs of age, so Leda is a miracle? A curse? The living embodiment of chaos? Regardless her circumstance will require a wedding and procreation with a male angel that she is compatible. Nero? Maybe, hopefully, probably. But on the bright side, Leida has to save Earth and uncover more conspiracies that threaten the gods, the Legion, and her makeshift family. All before her Legion required wedding.

awesome, lovely
I’m deeply in love with this serie. Leda and Nero are more involved with each other than ever. Their love means caring, support each other, being there whenever needed. However, this all happens among a lot of battles, mysteries and discoveries. Leda is an angel now and this means dealing with her biological parents and learn to perform her role and duties as an angel, which is a great challenge.

Continuing Badassery
The Legion of Angels books are thought provoking and add a delightful twist that leaves you begging for more. Leda and Nero, while their interactions were quite subdued in this book, still strike me right in the feels. Ella’s ability to project Leda’s “Choas” into words and thoughts is fantastic. Can’t wait for book 9!

Another great addition to the series
The end of the last book was a bit of a cliffhanger which was quickly resolved in this book. It was nice that the author didn't try to streatch it out too much as the books where this is done can be a little tedious at times.Seeing Leda grow into her new Angel role was a great read, I love Leda as she brings so much humor to the story but you still believe she is a strong and capeable warrior. You get to learn more about some of the characters that have apeared in previos books, mainly the First Angel, but the book mainly centers on forging bonds between a small group.I don't want to give too much away so I will leave the review there for now

Must read
Absolutely loved this next book in the Legion of Angels series. I was not disappointed with this or any of the other books in the series. I love how Ella has stayed true to each of her characters and has kept the story interesting throughout the series. I always am eagerly awaiting the next one. Nothing seems rushed or hurriedly written, which often happens with some writers and their series. I love how she has kept Nero & Leda true to each other all the way through. Leda’s character is awesome - strong, smart and funny. Love, love, love this series !!!!!!
