Not sure
Very expensive and did definitely not pass the fridge test of going solid, so make of that what you will. It does appear to be nice oil though. Probably not Worth the price though.

Sophisticated bottle, average taste...
This is an expensive oil (over twenty quid for 500ml, at the time of review) and certainly looks the part housed in its glossy black glass bottle. It’s extra virgin olive oil and cold-pressed i.e. the oil is extracted without heat or chemicals in order to preserve maximum flavour and do the least amount of damage to nutrients, antioxidants and healthy fats inherent in the oil. All good things.I usually buy Fillippo Berio or supermarket own brands that come in a glass bottle and found this one to be of a very comparable quality with a similar taste and aroma. This year I’ve had the chance to try a few premium brands and there was a marked difference in the taste so I can’t help feeling this oil is overpriced for what it is, almost like you’re paying for the sophisticated-looking bottle more so than the oil. That being said, quality and purity is sometimes hard to evaluate beyond aroma and taste and this may well be a superior olive oil based on its cold-pressing methods, acidity levels, nutrient density etc. I tend to evaluate premium food products more so on their flavour and tangible properties though, to decide if it’s worth the splurge and didn’t find this to be a particularly remarkable product. Maybe a better oil substantively but as it didn't come across in the taste, I wouldn’t seek it out for a future purchase at this price point.O t h e r N o t e s :Country of Origin: GreeceExpiry Date: over 18 months on the bottle I received

Stylish presentation, mild flavour but very expensive.
This olive oil is presented in a very sylish bottle which is easy to open and pour from.I always have trouble distinguishing between different brands of olive oil and I'll be the first to admit my palate is not sophisticated enough to be able to discuss the character of various olive oils. Having said that, I tried a test with three different oils and this one. First I looked at the colour, then the aroma and finally the taste. This oil looked paler than the other oils and as for aroma I couldn't really distinguish between them. The taste of this oil is very nice though. I've read a few other reviews that said it was very spicy or hot but I wonder whether there are different batches with significantly different tastes because I tasted the opposite; this oil is very mild and smooth. I only use this for dressings and haven't cooked with it so I can't comment how its flavour changes when heated. This oil currently retails for £24.00 for a 500ml bottle which is a pretty significant price compared to a "bog standard" supermarket brand which usually comes in somewhere below £5.00. I can't say I would buy more of this oil at that price but it is very pleasant tasting and smooth.

Nice organic oil
I’ve been using this oil on a variety of dishes over the last month and I have to say it’s quite pleasant. It has a mild slightly peppery after taste and it seems good to cook with as well. Would I say it’s worth 5 times more in cost to what I’d usually pay, well no not really. The fact that this is organic will bump up the costs considerably, so maybe for some that may be just what you are looking for. But for me it was a bit overpriced for what it is. It does come in a recyclable dark bottle which will obviously help keep the flavours in and the bottle I got had about a years shelf life. For me it was a nice treat, I have even used it to cook eggs me vegan sausages with and they came out great. But this may be one for the olive oil connoisseurs out there.

The smoothest olive oil I have tasted, but to its detriment?
I use olive oil quite often, either neat and served with bread, or as an ingredient or base for sauces. I always try to stay away from those with bitterness, and so a fresher olive oil was a tempting prospect. The OrganicOrganic is an exceptionally smooth olive oil, which I would imagine is in large part due to the freshness it boasts on the label. When heated as part of a cooked sauce, it retained this gentleness and did not begin to overpower as some do, and nor did it seem to pick up any burnt notes like others. However, when eaten neat its smoothness worked against it and it was simply too weak a taste for my liking. If you enjoy such smooth, subtle olive oils then this is likely the one for you. I have never tasted one with such qualities to that extent. But for me personally, I like my olive oils to have a little more bite than this does and so I found it lacking in that regard.

Pleasant, but so expensive
When poured, this is a mid-gold coloured oil. It’s pleasant, and has a warm, sun-ripened flavour without bitterness. It’s not the most distinctive extra virgin olive oil I have tried – there’s a nutty character, though on the whole this seems nice enough but quite mild. The design of the 50cl packaging is similar to that of a fortified wine or spirit. There was a layer of plastic wrap around a metal screw cap. I don’t really see the need for this plastic. The metal was perfectly secure, the plastic outer just seemed to be there for decorative effect. Under the cap is a dropper style spout, so that this doesn’t pour too quickly. It’s nice, but I wouldn’t pay nearly £50 a litre for this.

Very Nice But at a Price
There is no doubt that this is far superior to the more average products that I buy at the supermarket. It does have a better taste and I can generally tell if a dressing or suchlike has been made with this, rather than the cheaper versions. However, it is quite a price. I did enjoy this oil but I'm not convinced I would buy another, for the degree of improvement in the dishes that were created with it.
