Bertech1059 ESD Anti-Static, General-Purpose Mat Kit, Blue, 18" Wide x 30" Long x 0.094" Thick

I have been modifying / assembling pcs for myself since the days of the 80286 and I have always cringed when I read 2how to"s telling readers to use the box a motherboard was sent in if you don't have a proper ESD work surface. DON'T DO THAT! A cardboard box is basicaly made from paper and paper is a static generaor. You are asking for trouble if you follow that advice. Get a properly grounded ESD mat if you want to put all the chances on your side when you work on an electronic device.

Un peu cher mais semble de très bonne qualité.Le matériel est assez épais.La soudure colle un peu et quelques fois marque un peu. J'ai pas essayé de mettre le fer dessus pour voir à qu'elle température il résiste. De toute façon, je mets un tapis en silicone par dessus pour faire de la soudure.

The button clips in the corner were not crimped properly and popped off on the first attempt to attach the ground strap.In addition, it's been laid out on a flat surface for several days now with weights on the corners and it will still not lay flat on ANY side.Disappointed to say the least, for such a high priced item.

I have it setup on my desk. Nice and square and all put together. My only complaint is that the back side of the snap (that you connect the wrist strap and ground lead to) does not sit flush with the bottom of the mat so that one corner doesn't sit flat on the desk. Unless you are OCD like me you probably wont notice :).

I was searching for this product for quite awhile and finally found it. Best price and the quality is excellent. Easy to setup
