fragrance free, all ingredients are super for skin, including centella & bakuchiol, made in the USA
The Brush on Block brand is best known for its mineral powder sunscreen, but this "Nobody's Perfect" facial oil by them is excellent. It comes in an opaque lapis blue bottle and the eyedropper dispenses well.Besides the blend of oils which are emollient and full of antioxidants, the ingredients also contain centella asiatica for soothing, Vitamin C in a stable form (tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate) for brightening and cell renewal, and even bakuchiol at the end. Bakuchiol is an alternative to retinol that is less likely to cause skin irritation and is not photosensitizing like retinol, but is still effective at reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone.I was also impressed by what the ingredients excluded as well as what was included. It's both fragrance free and essential oil free. Most other facial oils I've tried are scented, and while fragrance and essential oils can smell good, when applied topically they are frequently irritating to sensitive skin. It's made in the USA and the full list of ingredients is printed on the bottle. The full ingredient list is:Cannabis sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Mauritia Flexuosa (Buriti) Fruit Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Rosa Canina (Rose) Hip Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil, Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil & Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, Squalane, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Pongamia glabra (Karanga) Seed Oil and Dunaliella Salina Extract and Haematococcus Pluvialis Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Bakuchiol.

Healing skincare oil, great to pair with SPF!
I live in Hawaii, where I get loads of sun exposure to my skin year-round. The older I get the more aware I am of the importance of SPF, but it's equally important to help my skin heal and recover from the sun exposure I inevitably get, and this oil is a great way to do that! It's packed with oils and botanical extracts that contain antioxidants, which help prevent stress to skin and damage from the elements. I've noticed my skin looks smoother and softer since adding this product to my routine, and although I have somewhat oily/ acne-prone skin, it doesn't break me out at all. It's not the first facial oil I've used, but it's certainly one of the better ones. I like to use it along with a moisturizer at night, and it doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all, instead soaking right in and leaving my skin feeling soothed and refreshed. The eyedropper dispenser in the bottle allows me to use exactly as much product as I want, without dipping my fingers in or contaminating the rest of the bottle, and the dark blue glass protects the ingredients from UV damage. A little bit goes a long way, so although the price tag may seem high for a small bottle, I've barely made a dent in mine after weeks of daily use!

May Have Sold Me on Facial Oil
This is my first experience with Brush on Block, which is primarily a sun protection line founded by current CEO Andrea Wetsel and makeup artist Susan Posnick. This daily facial oil, without SPF, is a departure for a company whose signature product is brush on, mineral powder sunscreen that comes in a self-contained wand with a built-in brush. While I'm not someone who uses facial oil daily, instead of saving it for post-facial and when my skin is irritated or inflamed, this is a really good one. It's very gentle, non-greasy, and contains Vitamin C, algae extracts, and omega 3 as well as plant oils with antioxidants (Buriti, Karanga, and Rosehip) and hydration properties (Hemp, Meadowfoam, Jojoba, and Sunflower). The suggestion is you add 2-3 drops of this to your regular moisturizer, or apply directly to the face in that small amount, to help repair and combat daily environmental skin damage and, honestly, I liked this enough, I just might start doing that. In the past, I've only used pure facial oils applied directly to my skin, and with these extras, this Nobody's Perfect is part oil, part serum, and I liked it a lot. While I'd mixed serums with my moisturizer for easier application, I'd never done that with a facial oil before.

Seems like a great oil that works well for other skin types; not absorbed by my dry skin...
This seems to be a well formulated facial oil that is chock full of antioxidants and ingredients designed to heal damaged skin. I like using facial oils two or three nights per week, and this one seemed like a good choice + it is supposed to be non-greasy. Unfortunately, when I use this product solo, it isn't absorbed very well by my skin, which is extremely dry and rough. It just seems to sit on the surface of my skin until I finally give up and remove it. I have had pretty good luck with adding several drops to a dollop of moisturizer that I apply at night, so I feel I am still reaping some of the benefits of the various oils and extracts. It seems to ramp up the the level of hydration as well, so my face looks more rested and my skin feels softer and smoother the next morning. Using it in this manner means that this small bottle of "Nobody's Perfect" oil will last for quite a while. The oil is amber in color and has a fairly heavy consistency; it has a scent that I find rather unpleasant. Luckily, it doesn't linger very long. The current price of this oil is $40.00 for a one-ounce bottle, which I would have been happy to pay if this had turned out to be compatible with my skin. As it is, I have any number of oils that I can mix with a moisturizer but I am looking to simplify my routine, not make it more complex, so I won't be repurchasing once I have used the current bottle up.
