Light duty, light weight, low cost, good for what it is supposed to e
Gosh, some folks want a Batman Tool for seven bucks! Look, you can't dig through roots, or rocks, or clay or chop a branch or make water into wine. It's a folding trowel about the size of your hand when it is closed. You have to squeeze the handle to put it in the locked position and the same to unlock and fold it closed. It has a minimal grip, and if you try to stab it into the ground, you're gonna wish you were wearing gloves. However, if you want to clear an area of flammables to make a fire, or you want (assuming the ground isn't rock hard) to dig a cat-hole to do your business, or dig a Dakota Fire Pit, this lets you do it without having to carve a digging stick, or ram your previously sharp and shiny knife into the dirt. Ultralight folks can dig that hole with a swizzle stick. Me, I have one of these in each of my packs. That should say it all.

Decent
Smaller than I expected, but I probably didn't read the description. Looks sturdy enough though. Loses a star for the rough finish on the edge of the metal, could easily cut skin on hands.

Important tool for long hikes
So I have answered the urgent call of nature in pretty much every park I've ever visited. This is a small, perfect tool to have in my backpack for those times. The handle unfolds and the trowel makes a good hole quickly, efficiently. And when I am done, it all folds up neatly into a very small package and into the thick black sheath (which you can even strap to your belt). It takes up very little room and works the way I need it to.

A solid portable, light weight tool for what it does.
When I trail hike with my dog, I used it to bury his poop off trail. It's light and easy to store in my day pack.I don't like putting decomposable organic matter into bags that don't decompose and end up in land fills. If you use this to bury your doggie poop, please do so at least 100 feet from the trail and from any water sources, in at least a 6-8" cat hole, well covered.
