Love love love this adapter. I had a tough road ahead of me when I inherited my brother's HP laptop. The information sticker on the back was scratched off and I could not read the model number or anything for that matter. I had no idea what kind of replacement adapter I needed (I got some vague story about what happened to the original adapter and he had bought another one that was total crap which led to him not using the computer because the crap adapter wasn't charging it). so I looked for a universal one here on Amazon. There were a lot but the thing that got me about the Vivkey is that the power adjusts to meet your needs. As soon as I got it, I was able to get the right tip from the ones that came with the adapter and had the computer charging in no time. I also notice that the adapter comes with a USB charging port built into it so that's a bonus.

I purchased a Dell laptop and six months later the system wouldn't recharge, which effectively made the laptop useless. I called Dell and they responded, "Since it worked when the system was purchased, then I broke it and it was not covered by the warranty." I asked, how can I break a power port? They responded, it didn't matter because the system worked when it was purchased. I told them that was absurd and according to their logic, anything that breaks on a system after it is purchased is not under warranty. I spent hours on the phone talking to overseas operators, each asking the same questions the prior service rep asked - name, address, purchase date, etc... Excuse me, I just gave that information to the previous rep. Dell's customer service was horrible and they told me the only thing I could do was pay to have the system repaired. I had no idea what was wrong with they system, whether it was the port itself or the plug. I returned the laptop to the store of purchase and they had their tech department look at it and determined it was the power adapter. Instead of giving Dell more money I ordered the Vivkey adapter because of the number of connectors included in the package. The connector I was able to use didn't fit perfect, but it worked well enough to charge my laptop. The product is well made and feels solid. With so many adapters it would be hard to imagine one not fitting most systems. The price of this adapter kit was half the price of the Dell adapter. The system even comes with a handy storage pouch to store the extra adopters. Very good product at a good price.

The upside of this product is that you get every possible connector you can imagine, in a number of different wattage flows as well. If you have a laptop that can't use anything they provide, you need a new laptop.The downside? The code is short. Real short. Maybe five feet, six tops. My old cord was easily three to four feet longer. This isn't a dealbreaker, but it does limit where I can use my laptop now. A few extra feet would be nice.Still a recommended pick-up, though, if you need a replacement AC cord for your laptop. You're guaranteed to find a matching head.

The official Lenovo power adapter that I bought off of a popular auction site stopped working half way through the semester. I bought this one because it was very inexpensive, so I wouldn't be out too much $ if it broke too.I had reservations when I put the tip into my laptop because it was just as loose as the OEM tip (which no longer worked unless I used duct tape and said the correct incantations).To my joy, the little power LED lit up, and has been working ever since.I'll update this review if anything goes south.

I appreciated the number of adapter attachments. Previously I had purchased a charger stating it was for the laptop I owned, but when I received it, it did not fit, so I purchased a Vivkey 90W Universal Laptop AC Adapter and found an attachment to use with my laptop. I also appreciate the fact it has a USB charging port so I can charge my phone easily. With the plethora of adapters I can bring just this one power charger for any of my multiple devices. Great for traveling - or like me, college. It has a compact size making it easy to stash in a backpack or purse. My only wish would be for a longer cord.

I plugged it in to check that it worked. I'm not sure it was plugged in for even 5 minutes. It did work. The next day, I began to use it and after about 5 minutes, it started smoking and the smell of burning spread through the air. I unplugged it immediately.

Edited: After my first one died, I was contacted by the company the same day, and received a replacement charger within the week. The customer service was great, and I understand manufacturing defects happen. So I hope this charger will last longer than the first.Original:I have had this for a little over a month, only used it about 10 times as a back up for when Im at school. And It died on me already.

I am very pleased with this product. I use it with an ASUS V550C laptop. The charging cord that came with the laptop will not work on an airplane, for example, since the transformer is on the plug and it will not stay plugged into a vertical receptacle. This is not a problem with the Vivkey device. I highly recommend this device.
