Pleasantly surprised
I got the Artlicious pencils yesterday. My first impression was that the packaging was awful. Just a box with no protection. Amazon didn't pack them that well either. Several points were broken. The factory sharpening on some was laughable. These things aside I decided that I wanted to give them a try. The examples are of light layering of 3 to 4 colors. They are soft and layer very nicely. There's also an example where I blended 3 colors and I was pleased with this. Overall I really like these pencils. So much that I ordered 2 more sets. True the box is cheap, leads came broken, and I had to resharpen some. The fact of the matter is that when you order online your package will most certainly be tossed and maybe even dropped. For$20 and the range of colors as well as the way they perform, I feel like I got my moneys worth. I am a true pencil snob. Especially for someone who is not an artist and only started coloring 9 months ago. I still love my Pablo's, polys, prismas, Holbeins, and the many others that I have. But these pencils given a chance are really pretty nice. To me. I did not use any blending pencil on this example as I wanted to see what was possible using just the pencils themselves. I hope this is helpful.

A real review...
I did not get this product at a free or reduced price. I paid full price, and this is a real review. The idea behind this is fantastic, but there is a reason quality pencils cost more than $20. I saw these and the color selection had me really curious. It couldnt hurt to have extra colors , right?? I use prismacolor premier pencils normally for my adult coloring books, and I hoped this would be a cheaper option. I didn't expect them to be as good, of course, but hoped they would be good "fillers". If you just want lots of colors to play with, and you arent particular about your coloring, and just want to have fun, then this is a pretty good set for that. If you strive to make your coloring pages look artistic, then you will most likely be disappointed. There is definitely a huge color range, which is wonderful.. however, the pencils are not great for blending at all. They are soft and creamy, so I really thought they might be, but they just aren't. I also had two pencils that I absolutely could NOT sharpen. No matter how I tried to sharpen them, the lead just kept falling out. I ended up sharpening well over half of the pencil away just trying to sharpen them to salvage the tips. I failed. I used around 20 colors for the picture that I worked on tonight, so I can only say that two out of 20 were unusable. I cannot vouch for the other 100 colors as of yet. Pros: Vibrant, creamy colors that lay down easy. Huge color selection. Cons: Colors do not blend well. At least some of the pencils have faulty cores that will not sharpen. The leads are most definitely NOT centered. You have to sharpen them often just to keep a fine point. For under $30, they are decent, but I definitely would not purchase again. I am attaching a picture so that you can see what they can accomplish with some time and patience, but bear in mind, it was a struggle getting the colors to blend at all.

Very disappointed
I loved these pencils when I first got them the colors are vivid and they go down so smooth. They blend well. My biggest complaint is that the leads are all broken within the pencils. Not all of them but most. I sharpened them so much they were a nib and I had to throw them away...very disappointed on what could have been the best pencil ever. I also couldn't find a warranty anywhere for replacements. I know it is only 20.00 but to some of us it's a lot of money.

Nice pencils for the price
I purchased these at full price so this is a valid review. I like the way these pencils color, much like Prisma Scholars. I have only tried a few colors, but the ones I tried colored bright and smooth and blended well with a blending pencils. There are many beautiful colors, some very similar. I didnt have any trouble with the few I tried sharpening. The pencils do have color names on them. I did find a few negative issues with them. A couple of pencils had leads that werent centered well. One pencil seems to have some of the core break out of the bottom part of the pencil. Another, the wood was all beat up on. The pencils have a strong paint/chemical smell. I am hoping that fades with time. I am airing them out in an open container, in my garage. I think I will enjoy them when they lose the smell.Update: the smell seems to be fading as they are exposed to air.

Beautiful Set of Colored Pencils
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this box of 120 beautiful colored pencils. First, the package arrived promptly, all of the pencils were well sharpened, and upon inspection, none of the pencils were broken or splintered. These pencils are round and the color of the lead matches the color of the pencil barrel and each pencil is labeled with Artlicious’ distinct color name. The box also includes a small hand held pencil sharpener. When coloring, I found that the colors were smooth, creamy, and blended well together. I have a set of Prismacolor colored pencils and these, in my opinion, rank right along side of them! I am completely satisfied and so glad I purchased this set for my art supplies. One added note, I also really like that Artlicious placed a color chart on the back of the box! The makes selecting color combinations so much easier.

Have the expensive colored pencils? Well try these and you'll be pleasantly surprised!
I didn't expect much of these and was genuinely surprised. Artilicious colored pencils are smooth, creamy, blendable and the colors lay down gently much like pastels. It's incredulous to me that for under $20.00 you receive 120 beautiful colored pencils. These pencils were to be a spare and left at my parents house but instead, I brought the them home. While I do have Sargents, Koh I Noor Noor, Marco Raffines and Derwents, I find myself utilizing the Artilicious as they're easier to use. ie: blending, colors, and the colors lay down with only a little effort.
