Entertainment
This product like all the others I bought are great. it keeps my grandchildren entertained and also they learn A lot, including patience, to have fun, This is the best gift you can give a child that has a imagination.

Great toy but painful to build
The instructions are easy enough to follow and we were able to build a functional dino that walked. However some parts are really hard to out together. You need to apply quite a bit of force to get the rods to slot into the connectors. This is not an issue with the longer rods, but it is extremely difficult and painful with the short rods, especially for kids. And there are a LOT of short rods in this model: the entire spine, head and tail. It hurt so much to put it together that I can't bring myself to take it apart to try the alternative model. I will not be buying Knex again, although I love the concept.

Adjustable age limit
This was a great gift and the person we gave it to loved it. The only thing I would caution people on is the age limit. It says for ages 7+ and we gave it to a 7 yo who is fairly adept at building with Legos and K'NEX but this was difficult and required quite a bit of assistance.

Very difficult to follow the instructions
I bought this for a very bright (of course, he's my grandson!), curious, intuitive 9 year old. The instructions are SO difficult to follow, the pictures combine way too many steps in one without clear up-close pictures to show which hole/facet a piece fits into, that it took 3 college-educated adults (a biology scientist, an educator and a computer informations systems analyst) to help with the construction! Unfortunately, this leads to much frustration for the child who would love to build and learn on his/her own. The instructions need better break-down and pictures of intermittent steps (I.e., see LEGO!).
