Works very well, albeit not as well as I'd hoped
Let's start: quality of sound received (and therefore transmitted), great! Hooked up into my headphone with no issues, works absolutely fine, I'm happy with the actual quality of the mic. With that being said, the main reason I purchased this microphone was to help try and reduce the amount of "outside" noise being caught by my regular wireless headphones internal mic, or my phone's microphone. I frequently work on my own car, outside (loud wind can occur) and on-site (as an Engineer) so the noise cancellation (of unwanted noise) was the feature I was going for. With that being said, it does seem to not pick up *as much* outside noise/interference as my other microphones, it is significantly better, but it still picks up a vast majority of it (albeit, a bit quieter). I expected this to occur as certain areas (as I'm frequently near factories) are quite loud and therefore didn't expect it to be a perfect solution, but even if I'm talking to somebody 10 feet away, the other person is usually picked up on the microphone which was unfavorable. However, I purchased a boom mic foam cover (windscreen) for this exact reason to aid the mic in this exact function and it is significantly better now. Honestly, it isn't perfect and I really wish they would ship it with one, but now in it's current form it performs sufficiently which (at this price range) is more than I could have honestly asked for.For many others, I don't believe this will be an issue, and the first sentence is all you really need to refer to. For those who plan to use these in busy and/or loud locations to communicate, I highly suggest purchasing a mini High-Density Foam Mic cover. You probably don't need to worry about the quality of the mic covers too much (at the end of the day, it's just foam) but I'm no expert in that particular subject.

Frugal Option to Convert into Gaming Headset
I use the Bose QC45 for work all day and I didn't want to spend money to have another headset just for gaming. I researched looking for inexpensive ways to get a decent microphone to work with my existing headset. This came up, gave it a try, and I'm happy with the outcome.Pros:- mic attachment is sturdy- voice comes across as clear- cheaper than buying a new headsetCons:- getting ANC to work with the headset while the mic is plugged in is frustrating but no fault to the vendor. It's a Bose thing it seems.Worth the price to convert a great pair of headphones. I use mic, Bose QC45, and SteelSeries Sonar to help while playing FPS games like Call of Duty. Works great.

Don’t bother .. it doesn’t last and the seller doesn’t care
Worked for the past 4 months until it didn’t all of a sudden .. now the audio produced is distorted in one ear while full volume undistorted in the other.. rendering it useless and giving you an instant headache. I try to treat all my electronics carefully, especially my headphones and never crumple the wires so I’m not happy with how long this product has lasted me for the price. The seller hasn’t even bothered to try and resolve the issue by exchanging for a new one.

Great for repurposing old QC35 for telework
I have an old first gen QC35 that I used to use for travel. While lots of folks are going back into the office, my team is still doing lots of telework, so I needed a better way to speak to them in meetings. This boom microphone allowed me to repurpose the headphones to use in the meetings. They're fairly simple microphones with no special features (no noise cancellation or voice isolation features), but it fits my QC35 well while still being loose enough to take off to pack away and picks up my voice well since the boom arm allows the microphone to sit close to my mouth. I can't say whether it's as good as Bose's QC35 II gaming headset's microphone, but it is good enough for my meetings. The only problem I've had is the included foam cover falls off VERY easily and got lost several times -- I think it needs an elastic cinch to keep it in place better, but I don't notice the foam affecting the vocal quality at all.

Almost perfect.
I was very happy to see 3rd parties have taken the initiative to produce the product that Bose no longer creates. The quality is pretty good, and I LOVE using my Q45s for gaming with friends. My only complaint is that I wish the end of the cable were USB instead of 3.5mm, but I was able to purchase an adapter and make it the way I wanted, and that also added some length to the cable that felt pretty short. All around I'm very happy with the product! Well worth the money!

Takes an awesome headset to a whole new level.
I've been using this microphone for my QuietComfort 35 ii for a year now, and only have great impressions from it. Something that the QuietComfort lacks, is good voice microphone pickup in areas with conflicting noise (i.e. anywhere besides a quiet room). So, when I need to make a business call at my desk and not pickup all the noise around me, I quickly plug one end into my PC and the other end into the headphones, and my computer automatically connects. There a COUPLE THINGS to BE AWARE OF before you buy, though. The Bluetooth features on the headset are disabled when this is plugged in. It will not take anything from any Bluetooth connected devices, whether music, calls, etc. Secondly, the active noise cancellation or background feedback do not activate either. Neither of these were game changers for me, but it's just something to know about before you purchase. In my opinion, if you're trying to make a call, you don't need active noise cancellation cause the recipient won't be able to hear much anyway. My 2 cents for what it's worth.Overall, it VASTLY improves voice isolation, since the QuietComfort 35 microphones are on the sides and pickup everything. These are been very durable and after a year are still great. And I would say it's fairly user friendly, if you're tech savvy enough to be able to switch between Bluetooth and analog audio, both on your hardware and software. 5 star!
