Great product. Will last me a life time (in the kitchen)."My hunt" for food grade sandalwood powder paid off. What, pray tell, do I use this for? Well, as a Swede here in the US, I am on the constant lookout for Swedish and Scandinavian versions of pickled herring - among other things.One that is getting harder and harder to get is the canned "Swedish Matjessill". It is a young herring, salted/pickled with a special pickle/brine.Sandalwood is an essential ingredient in that pickle (along with other, "I never knew that..." type of ingredients).Don't have any opinions about other uses for this product, my need is completely satisfied in the kitchen. A taste of home...BTW, Swedish anchovies - which have nothing in common with the salty anchovies normally found in stores also use sandalwood in their pickle. Have not found a way to re-create those yet.

I really wanna know how this company could call this sandalwood it smells no more like sandalwood then burning underwear would honestly I mean seriously it's absolutely terribleI have been a cancer of sandalwood incense since 1970 at least this is not sandalwood it's not pleasant it's not good incense it's bad I wasted my money and this company should be ashamed of itself for selling such crap

Does not smell like sandalwood. I wanted to return it but couldn't because it was considered a food product. What food product would contain lead? The package has a lead warning printed on the front.

Exceeded my expectations in quality and quantity. It has a nice scent and clean burn. Mixes well when used for making incense. I’ll buy it again.
