Tama Iron Cobra HP600DTWB Double Bass Drum Pedal

For full disclosure, this is my first double pedal. Previously, I had a double bass kit. I recently upgraded to a higher end kit but downsized to a single bass drum. I still wanted the double bass capability, so after a fair amount of research I bought this pedal. I specifically wanted a Tama pedal. I have used Tama drums & hardware exclusively since the 80s. The pedal was easy to install. Of of course the challenge is to fit it around stand legs and lining it up with the hi-hat pedal, but that would be true with any pedal I chose. Like all Tama hardware, it feels substantial, and the adjustments are numerous and innovative. There are more expensive and I’m sure better pedals on the market. But in its price range, I believe I made a good choice.

These are amazing!! You definitely get what you pay for with these. I had previously gotten a different set of double bass pedals for cheap…and they were just that…cheap. But these are absolutely amazing. If you’re going to buy bass drum pedals…go ahead and spend a bit more. When you have equipment that works well, you’ll be more excited about using it, and won’t want to give up on learning. Trust me! You won’t regret getting these!
