Madison LodiGrandpa's Wish List Love You Always Padded Board Book, Ages 1-5

Got this one for my dad (aka grandpa) for Fathers Day :) My son is 5 months, it would be a better gift to give when you announce the baby because it is about all the things he wishes the baby will be when he is born lol!! Oops. I thought it was about an already born baby since there is a kiddo in the illustrations.

Very durable pages, and the cover is a nice think and wrapped cardboard so you don’t have to worry about them biting off the corners super easily. It’s also going to make a wonderful pregnancy announcement gift for my dad.

This book matches up perfectly with my husband's idea of being a grandpa. For example, there's a page for organizing his workshop, building a tree house, getting a fishing line ready---all the things this grandpa can't wait to do.

This book is darling. The pictures are lovely. The story is so sweet. It is for a little boy. Grandpa's wishes start when they get a call that the new grandson has arrived and Grandpa make his wish list. His wishes are spending time with his Grandson including working in the workshop, playing music together, fishing etc. We especially like it because the characters are badgers (we are from Wisconsin-the badger state) and almost everything the characters do together are things my husband hopes to do with our little guy.

I like the book, and my grandchildren like to hear the story. But…. Someone wrote a “to” and “from” note inside the cover. So I paid for a new book and got a used book!

Definitely read through it before giving it as a gift and before reading it to your grandchild so that you at least have the chance of making it through it without crying at that time!

Some reviews say how it's for grandsons? Nope. This is good for either gender of grandbabies.

Such a sweet book! Makes me tear up every now and then when I read it to my son, and there aren't a ton of books about a son and grandfather this one is beautifully Illustrated with a good story too.

Not as good as the Grandma book.My Husband agreed. The Grandma book explains the emotional side of anticipating the arrival of a Grandchild and bestwishes for the child, while the Grandpa book is a doing action book with a Grandchild. Just depends how you want to express yourself.I cried the first few times I read the Grandma book.

My husband gave this book to our newest grandson. It's a good keepsake book, well written.
