My Natural Plush Toy, Brown Monkey

I'd like to start by saying we've been trying to get our non-pacifier-taking, bottle-refusing, attached-to-no-toy/blanket/anything baby to take a liking to a stuffed animal, lovey blanket - basically anything - for almost TWO YEARS. No dice. My mom gave us this monkey as part of our baby shower gift and it's been in the pile of stuffed animals since he was born, along with an assortment of bears, dinosaurs, etc. About 2 weeks ago, our 21-month-old just decided out of the blue that this monkey was the one he could not live without. He gives him kisses at bedtime, has "Monkey" give me kisses, and holds him until he falls asleep.What I like about "Monkey", aside from the fact that my son now loves him:1) The size - it's like the perfect size. Small enough to be portable, large enough to be found easily, and not bulky like some stuffed animals so it's easier for him to handle.2) Quality - this toy seems to be well-made. The fabric is soft, and the eyes are embroidered on so I don't have to worry about plastic eyes. I worry a little about the limbs being pulled off since they are so slim, but that's also part of what makes it great - the limbs are easy for little hands to grab and hold onto!3) Washability - I will admit I have not read the label, but this guy has been through a few wash and dry cycles with clothes and is holding up well.Overall, I am super happy with this stuffed animal and have put another one in my cart just in case something happens to the one we have.

At just under 5 months old it's clear this is my sons favorite toy by far! The loop ears and thin arms legs and tail make it so easy for him to grab and hold onto. It's his comfort toy! It was a struggle to get him to go to sleep at night, now I just give him his monkey and he's out in just minutes!!
