These are not perfectly uniform in size. But the largest have reached at least 2 1/2 inches. Some are more fragile than others. We watched them for several days. Give it at least three days for maximum size. We left them longer just to see what would happen. Eventually a couple of them split. It's also interesting how they expand. Looking like a bunch of grapes for a while. For the price it's fun. Maybe not the most scientific experiment but still an exercise in observation. Remove them from water and watch them shrink. My grandson likes slicing them, sqeezing and squishing them. But be sure to keep up with the pieces. A polymer isn't going to break down further in your plumbing. Toss them the trash.

They are the size of your hand and hold color pretty well! Impressed!

After soaking these in water for about three hours they expand to jumbo size. Only issue I have is that they do not hold together very well. About half of them broke into pieces before I even touched them. The ones that were still in one piece almost always broke apart when picked up out of the water container.

They are huge! But most of the grow and are broken from the start… if they grow and are not broken they are SUPER cool! But VERY fragile…

I love that these are extra large and takes some worry over swallowing. Really fun to add to a water table. Just make sure to add the initial water out of the little ones reach until they enlarge

I’m with other reviewers in that these aren’t perfectly round. Some of them start out round and then expand to weird lumpy shapes, some are huge and some are not. I’d say we’ve ended up with sizes ranging from ping pong ball to a little bigger than golf ball/large bouncy ball. I’d suggest over flowing the container you grow then in. That seems to get the most rounded and consistent growth. However so just never expand that much. My kids still love these and have a great time playing with them.

We would try these Large/Jumbo sized ones out. First thing is that they are not well made at all. At least a third of the water beads burst and I don't just mean cracked I mean basically shattered into little pieces. Then about a third of whats left will be super huge and nearly doughnut like. In the end maybe about 1/4 of the original amount that came in the bag, were as detailed in the product description. ABSOLUTLY NOT SAFE FOR YOUNG KIDS unless well supervised.

We purchased three bags. We only needed 3000 but bought an extra bag just in case. We needed to make little bags of 10 beads to include in packs of other things for 300 kids. We could only make 270 little bags.Instead of 4500 we got 2700.
