Everlast EVER-2229B OmniFlex Free Standing Heavy Bag

Loving it so far. It's very sturdy compared to other some other free standing bags. Filled the base up with water and it does not move even when hitting it as hard as I can, very impressive! Was very easy to put together maybe 40 minutes and most of that was filling it up with water. Also doesn't need a lot of room to get a good workout on which is great for smaller places.

Great bag for a home gym! Assembly took me approximately 30 minutes. It wasn't hard to put together, just take your time and read the instructions. The longest part was filling it up with water. I debated sand but I think it would have been very hard due to the lip on the inside of the base. I used the water hose from outside, I think filling it with a pitcher like the instructions recommends would have taken quite a long time. In any case, the water does great! I am 6' 5" tall and punch pretty hard and the base doesn't hardly move.Pros: - The fantastic base on this makes movement nearly non existent! Great design.- Simply assembly but be sure to check for cracks before you fill with water, and also use a hose for expedited fill up!- Very easy to adjust the height. Again, I am a tall dude and this fits me perfect! I can lower for kicks or keep it high for my haymakers.- Looks great in a home gym! You can move it (pretty heavy with the water) to a corner to conserve space if desired.- No hanging from the ceiling! This was the major reason for my purchase of this model and I love it! I live in a split level home and hanging it from the finished room downstairs wasn't an option due to bedrooms above (I workout at night). This was the perfect solution!- Super durable. I recommend glove (I use muoy thai on this bag, its perfect).Cons- I have noticed that the 3 screws that hold the pole at the bottom become loose after EVERY session. It is a hassle but all you have to do is simply tighten them up before use. It is kind of a pain but I simply keep the allen wrench (included in assembly) nearby or taped to the base so I don't loose it. I'm sure there is a remedy (maybe loctite or other liquid screw fasteners) but I just tighten them up.- The bag does tend to get a bit "wonky" and swing all over the place when you get into it. I like this as I like to dodge and weave around it coming back at me after a hit but it definitely moves more than a standard bag hanging from the ceiling or stand. Great for cardio and my use but if you don't want your bag swinging around then this may not be the bag for you.Overall it fits my needs perfectly so far! If not for the bolt problem at the bottom I would be giving this my 100% full recommendation and perfect product approval! Still a fantastic bag, especially for cardio and light boxing. Heavy as well if you don't mind the movement of the bag.
