Great Find
I finally found a sun screen that fit windshield perfectly for my 2003 Honda Accord. I'd shopped at Walmart, Auto Zone, Home Depot and they all were too tall and twice the price of this one I bought off Amazon. It seemed like all the sun screens were for large pickups or SUVs. Strange .... I know plenty of people have mid sized or small cars and we need sun screens as well. Especially in these brutally hot Texas summers. I hope it will last, it seems very well made.

Does the job
It's an inexpensive sun shade, if you really want to block the sun probably a darker one would be more affective, it does help but the light silver material does let in the sunlight more.

decent shade; inaccurate item description
Contrary to the item description, this is NOT gold on one side. It is silver on both sides.I could have purchased this exact shade (silver-silver) locally for less money at Advance Auto.I wanted the gold side because my car is goldish colored.I'm torn between keeping this, since it was only slightly more expensive than the local cost (with tax) and boxing it up/returning it is a pain -- I see Amazon has dropped the price since I ordered -- and returning it to get the gold-as-pictured shade I saw on Amazon (that shade has mostly unfavorable reviews). This Platinum Jumbo shade is stiff enough that it holds its shape when crammed into corners and doesn't sag, at least when it's new.I support mine with visors that have extender shades on them, but it seems this shade would stay up well enough with visors alone. It's too large at the bottom for my '96 Thunderbird; in order to fully cover the corners and sides, I have to use it at partial length (i.e., one segment folded up). There's about an inch worth of dash across its length that's left exposed to the sun, but inexact fit is to be expected from a generic shade.update 10-27-13:After two years of daily sun exposure from sunrise to sunset (not counting overcast or rainy days), baking in the south Texas summers and countless fold/unfold, secure/unstrap usage cycles, this shade is still completely intact and the velcro hasn't weakened. It's still stiff enough to be held in place by my non-extended visors and sags only a little. It is evidently made of quality materials and I'm impressed by its durability.I've consequently added a 4th star and if I ever find this model in gold, I'll buy it.

Sunshade
Not quite as good as my original sunshade, but inexpensive and definitely does the job.

Size matters
I bought this for my mini van and it was not wide enough. I am using it in my truck which it fits perfectly! Make sure to check your size.

High Quality, Durable. Standard Size.
The standard measures: 23"x58"I'm using this shade in a Mini Cooper and it works as advertised. At noon, the car is still warm, but much cooler than without the shade. However, it is bigger than the Cooper's windshield width, leaving extra shade on both sides. It's height is perfect. Even with the extra sticking out of the sides, the shade stays put without a problem. As stated on the title, the Standard size shade measures 23" by 58" and according to the manufacturer, 95% of all vehicles pre-1985 use the Standard Size. The sunshade has padding on its corners and around the area of the rear view mirror. It also has a nice, durable nylon strap with velcro, so the shade can be folded and neatly put away. It is reflective on both sides and it doesn't feel cheap at all, it has the right amount of thickness, making it more durable than other shades in the market. All in all, this sunshade is of high quality materials and made to last; it may be a bit larger than my Mini, but it does a perfect job at keeping my car cool, so it deserves a 5 star rating. And at this price, you can't get any better than this.

Am so glad Amazon offered this....
I went to the drugstore in the middle of a blazing hot summer day, to get a sunshade for my car. I asked a clerk, and she looked at me like, well, why would I expect them to stock those? A few summers ago, I could find them at drugstores, in their "seasonal" section. So thanks to Amazon, I got my sunshade without having to go through the ordeal of parking at and navigating the aisles of a big box store! (I imagine they have them but don't know for sure). And it was "prime eligible," so I got it almost right away. Note: the Jumbo size fit the windshield of my Audi A6.PS - your car will still be hot inside, but a sunshade is often the only recourse you have for dealing with extreme heat, unless you want to buy a Prius with a solar roof--or a garage (but you still can't take your garage on out-of-town trips, which is what I ran into). And the sunshade DOES help with heat and prevention of fading of your car's interior.

The best I have seen
I bought this shade, hoping it would be better than the junk available at the dept and auto stores. It is the best I have seen. I ordered the jumbo which is 27" high and 65" wide.I have a 2000 Honda CR-V, which doesn't have a very big windshield. The heighth is perfect and the width is long, but because it folds up like an accordion, it is very easy to fold one section on the end and it fits perfectly. Most of the ones I have had were not high enough and were flimsy and colapsed easily. Not this one, it stays put, even if you leave windows open. There is a handy strap sewn into it with velcro to secure it for storage. On the package, they state they only make 2 sizes. I don't think it would be large enough for a large windshield. It has a plastic foil facing on both sides, and a stiff, probably cardboard inside.I also have a Mazda Miata and the heighth on this is perfect. The width is way to long. The standard size says it is 23 high and 58 wide, that isn't high enough. Wouldn't you think the manufacturer would measure a few common windshields.
