The design does look cute.
I don't like how the figure does not look like it's totally submerged in the water. It looks like it's about to come out of the water ...That makes it more like a swampmonster than an acquapet..(thanks to optical distortion and all that). You will know what I'm talking about if your Puku are not filled with enough water as mine is.The water level is about where it is in the first of the three picture for this item. But in other pictures and a few youtube reviews that I watched, they come with more water and are thus more submerged. It seems that the amount of the water they put in the thing is totally random. And I'm just one of the unlucky buyers..But I didn't give it a two-star because of that. The bigger problem, and a problem wasn't foretold in the picture, is that the water tank is filled with tiny water bubbles clustered together here and there(probably resulted from all the tumbling during shipping); which makes it pretty bad for display. Some shaking procedure properly applied to the item perhaps can get rid of the bubbles. But I'm not taking the risk of breaking the two delicate strings attached to Puku that are responsible for all the dancing. My conclusion is that this toy would be more popular on the shelves of your local supermarkets, where you can see the water level, check for any scratches on the clear plastic, and avoid the unwelcome water-bubbling.

It's ok
These Aquapets aren't everything they are made out to be. I don't quite understand the concept of them. They are kind of boring really. I changed the batteries in them like the instructions told me to do in order to make them do more. I'm not sure what more they do. I don't recommend them to anyone.

Cute add on
This little toy is really cute. Honestly, it doesn't do anything crazy but it entertains my daughter and it's size is prefect for the type of toy it is. Jumps around in the water 'appearing' to dance, which she likes. Cannto complain at all for the price and the quality is just fine!

Kid's enjoyed it
I bought this for my 6yr old grandaughter for Christmas. I bought two because I had read that they interact with each other. Both her and her twin brother really got a kick out of them. I personally don't see how there enthusiam is going to last but of couse no time has passed yet.

Kinda dumb but child wanted
Bought this for my 8 year old daughter. She saw it in the store and commented on wanting one. I bought it for her for Christmas. There's no real point to the thing. Also, it randomly wakes itself and makes strange noises. It IS kinda cute though. :)

Kids loved it!
I bought this as part of a gift for a little girl and she loved it. The little girl thought it was so cute. She played with it the whole time I was in her company. So I know your little one will too.

Not sure what I was expecting.........
Not sure what I was expecting.........But for the price I picked it up for, I was willing to take a shot at seeing if it would keep my twins attention. There was an initial fight over who was going to hold it - we all lost that fight - but then this thing does nothing more than make noise, barely move the little pet. I think I missed something in the instructions. There's only two buttons - doesn't even light up!! My tamagotchi's were more interesting. Not worth full price of admission. I also need to mention the ridiculous over-engineering of the temporary battery they put in this thing. If you buy one, you'll understand. I'm sure it would have been cheaper to put in triple A batteries than what they do put.

Two Stars
Cute but not worth more than $5.00. My daughter wasn't entertained by it for more than 2days
