These clips are perfect for clipping vines to stems. I had two artificial trees up on one of my balconies … all of the leaves had blown off after several years, but the branches were still intact. So l purchased artificial vines to attach to the branches and it looks fab … l used these to reinforce the design so that it wouldn’t come off in heavy wind storms. (Covered patio) … they were perfect … matched the vines perfectly … l used maybe twenty five of them.

I like that they blend w the green. Tons come in a pack, so great value. Only thing is they aren’t very sturdy, but I’m not sure any clip this small would be.

I've bought these clips before. They work well on small stems and stakes. But the springs will rust in one season of wet weather and break. More important, I thought I was ordering the larger size, which is twice as large as these and will hold much larger stems. They don't seem to be available in the USA.

I don't expect these to last a long long time because they're not made of metal however since you get a lot for a really good price it will be quite a while before I need more.

Even though these are called orchid clips, they can also be used for viny plants. My mom lives in an assisted living center and was growing a poll bean in a pot. Of course it needed support as it grew upwards. So, I bought her some pot trellis's and these clips to hold the bean vine to the trellis's. It worked perfectly and she was so excited. She now has some beans that she grew. Made her happy.

The clips are made of fairly durable plastic. I was worried about broken teeth due to reviews on similar (cheaper) Amazon products, but it is not an issue with these clips.However, I was expecting the clips to close all the way together as shown in the product's pictures, but the clips I recieved only close to about a quarter of an inch. If you have a steady hand it is possible to modify the clips to close almost completely by removing the 2 pegs in the middle. Luckily, the clips are made of sturdy enough plastic to enable this. You can use a sharp box cutter (utility knife) to carefully cut them off, or they can be melted off with a knife heated with a lighter.

They perform as expected but don’t try to bend the prongs. They will easily break.

If you have a plant that creeps and you want to shape it to a stake these are perfect. They are durable quality plastic. Works great and sturdy. Came packaged well. They are small but open nicely and wide to accommodate attaching plants to keep them upright. Plenty in a box to share with others if needed. Love this product for my climbing plants to give them shape.
