Good for the price point.
Overall seems ok. There is no hole in the sphere as described. I had planned to use the opening to secure the ball to a birdbath base. There is a small dimple as shown in my photo where it appears the plating covers the hole. I did not attempt to Pierce the hole. Also the seam us not as smooth as other parts of the ball. This has a slight wavering in the reflection. I was able to place the ball in an orientation that made it less visible so it is acceptable to me. I can not speak to durability yet but it seams like it will hold up. I will update review if it doesn't. For the price it is what I was looking for so rated it 4 stars

cheaply made
The media could not be loaded. Should be like 3.00 - 5.00 looks like it has been out side for over twenty years. Has scratches and color fading in spots.

No way to use this item! And very expensive - $40 thrown away!
Ball is shown on a pedestal but there was no pedestal and no way to connect to anything - just a plain steel ball!

Good for my purposes
Appears to be golden plated steel. It has a hole as stated. Is it stainless steel or plastic? Definitely not plastic. As for stainless, a strong magnet will stick weakly so it's not just plain steel. Weak magnetic attraction is consistent with certain types of stainless steel. l so I have no real reason to doubt it's stainless steel under the golden plating.I bought it to use in constructing a prop and it's good enough for me.

Nice addition to the garden! Adds flare and color without a steep cost.
Nice and well made, the color is great and really shiny. Looks great when the sun hits it and looks great against green shrubs, plants and bushes. Happy with purchase
