Much better than traditional orthodontic wax
I've been looking for something to help prevent ulcers after orthodontic adjustments and traditional wax just wasn't doing the job - it'd always be difficult to place and would refuse to stay put. While OrthoDots are a much more expensive option, in my opinion they're well worth the money as they pretty much instantly stick to brackets/wires/other appliances and are easy to mould to a comfortable shape. The best part is that they last all day - I've never had one fall off or loosen (unlike traditional wax which would constantly fall off).I've been able to use them whilst eating and drinking, and they're easy to remove before brushing. They stay in place even when using mouthwash.

It works
I don't know why some people on here say these don't work well. I HATE the taste and texture of wax that falls apart in pieces. YUCK.However these little dots stuck to my braces all day today, I even had a coffee and two eggs with them stuck on to test if I can eat soft foods. They are still on my braces, this is now 7 hours of wear. So maybe some of the folk on here didn't read the instructions - only ONE side of the dot has the proper glue on.

OK but not enough difference from wax to justify the price
While they do stick on my braces ok and they are less visible than traditional wax, they're difficult to peel off the packaging without breaking/ stretching. They're a bit small and fiddly to place on a bracket accurately (especially with long nails) but once they are on they're pretty good. Considering the high price I'll save these for special occasions where I'm likely to have lots of photos taken because they are more subtle than wax

Dots expensive and lack sticking properties
Delivered late last night , used 4 already , just fall to bits , not recommended for denture use , not sure about braces but not likely to work as don’t stick at all , waste of money and an expensive item for what it is for

Not the best
Those are so expensive and when you don't watch out you might break a dot and then its useless. When you wear braces you need lots of those and sometimes its the wire causing pain not the brackets and you cannot use it for that case. There are single cases where I need one of those since the normal wax doesn't stick at some places like the metal ring. But the price is incredibly high. So most times I use the wax which also covers wires.

Not worth paying the extra
You can buy wax products which are a fraction of the cost and do the same job!!Won’t be buying again.

Expensive, but worth the value
These orthodots feel a lot better and are easier to apply than the dental wax. That being said, they're about $1/per piece, so I'd suggest only using them when they'll be on your teeth for long periods, such as when you're sleeping or between meals. The adhesive is very strong but won't pull a bracket off when you remove it.All in all, a decent alternative to wax.

No good for lingual braces
Was hoping these would be better than regular ortho wax, but a pretty hopeless for lingual braces. Might be fine for regular braces.

Lasts SO Long!
I was skeptical that these would work. They were pricey, especially when the orthodontist gives you free wax. But my son has one tooth that sticks out in front of other teeth, and I was worried that the brackets would rub on his gums, so I bought them to keep on standby in case he needed them. He has ceramic braces, and on the third day of having them, that one spot was really bugging him. The wax just wasn't sticking, so we got these out to try. I tried to get one to stick but had trouble; he got a second one out and got it to stick immediately. It stuck so well, in fact, that it has now been on for about 12 hours! It has stayed on through two showers, lots of talking, and three meals! When it lasts that long, it makes it much more worth the value! Very impressed!

Bit disappointed
They don't stay on as long as normal wax and the price was quite hefty for something that only sticks on half the time. Wouldn't purchance again.
