Drive it like you stole it!!
Great game. The graphics in this game are awesome. If you have an HDR setup they are even better. The cars handle like you would expect. Just one fun racing game.

Another Solid Codemasters Racer...
I bought this having played GRID 1, 2 and Autosport in the past, and remembering that those games were actually very competent arcade racers. The new GRID follows a similar formula: simplified handling model, mix of fictional and real circuits and a nice roster of cars from various disciplines. The fundamental gameplay has been enhanced slightly, with a more prominent damage model and much more aggressive AI (a benefit rather than hindrance when you actually start racing).Every race is an event in itself and rarely plays out the same way. You have an AI team mate who you can command to defend and attack depending on where you think they would be best utilised, so if you were struggling to make up places you could use your team mate further ahead in the field to slow down the cars in front of you to gain the places back. Not a hugely complex or unique feature, but can be good fun to try and slightly strategise a race.Multiplayer seems a bit D.O.A but I suspect it's more down to the fact there aren't actually that many people who have bothered to sign up to RaceNet right now. Lobbies are filled with AI to reach the player count, which I prefer. However there was never any more that 4 actual players to a lobby, basically making it like single player but with 4 slightly less aggressive and consistent AI thrown in...I didn't buy this for online so it doesn't bother me, although this is something to consider for those of you buying it to play with others. The handling takes time to get used to as well. Because of it being designed around a controller the out of the box configuration means it is very slow to steer off-centre until it suddenly accelerates the axis so you can reach maximum steering lock. This can make cars initially feel inconsistent, but you just need to practice with both the handling model and get used to easing the throttle and brake in and out of corners-smashing either of these to 100% will just result in a spin. The controls are also completely adjustable and re-mapabble, so you can adjust it however you like.Ultimately, if you are looking for a nice pick up and play racing game I can't think of any other ones for PlayStation that can offer what GRID has. It is easy to use, easy to get into and doesn't stress you out like Gran Turismo or other PS4 racing titles can.
