I started making this mosaic a long time ago but set it aside as I was feeling a little too challenged cutting my stained glass pieces into the shapes I wanted. I couldn't figure out how to create a background for the butterfly. When I saw these pieces offered, I got re-inspired by the petal shapes already cut for me. (The only pieces in the mosaic from this collection of tiles are the petal-shaped ones; the others I already had.)These glass tiles arrived intact in a small plastic box. The box wasn't great and I will probably throw it away but none of the tiles were broken so it did its job. I didn't count carefully but I'm pretty sure there were a hundred pieces as advertised. In addition to the colors shown in my photo, there were a good number of other colors and different shades of the colors which makes a mosaic more interesting. The petals were in two sizes, an additional plus, and they were all pretty well cut to their shape. I didn't encounter any edges so sharp that I was concerned about cutting myself, though precautions should always be taken with glass.I highly recommend this product for people who might want to make mosaics or use the tiles for other crafts. I appreciate having the opportunity to try them and write this review.

This is a set of petal shaped glass pieces for glass crafting. In the box, you get 100 petals in 2 different sizes and a variety of colors. In my box, the color mix was predominantly blue, with dark blue, light blue, pale blue, blue gray, silvery blue, plus some deep red, yellow, orange, and green. The petals come packaged in a plastic hinged storage case.I like the colors in this set. It is great for making flower mosaics. Many of the pieces in this set contain small chips at the top, or extra bits, as if the person cutting the pieces was working with a knife that wasn’t very exact. Some of the corners at the ends of the petals are blunt. Still, the pieces are quite attractive and good for mosaic work. Overall, this set is a decent choice for crafting.

Yes, these are glass, and yes, they look to be hand-cut - but by someone in a hurry. Many are odd-shaped, clipped, chipped or have rough edges. Being cut from glass means they are a little imperfect and have nice, square edges - not rounded. But this also means a lot of imperfections. You'll need to sort carefully and even do some snipping of sharp edges. If you look at my photo you can see what I'm talking about.

These are some beautiful glass pieces. Some are cut a little rough and I will have to work on them but it is well worth it. There are so many projects that you can do with these.

I’m just getting into stained glass and mosaics. I got a fairly nice selection of colors, except red. But not a bad choice for a beginner
