AirPod Max pads
It keeps my ear cooler than the original Airpod ear pads. I don’t hear any difference in sound quality but noise cancellation degraded a bit. Overall, I am happy as I don’t have to deal with heat building up from the original pads.

So I did a quick noise test.Using speaker volume from a 70” tvOriginal Max ear cushion: I couldn’t hear my tv that’s 7 ft away from me until I hit tv volume level 43 while playing a Netflix movie on my iPhoneEarRock lambskin ear cushions: I couldn’t hear anything from my tv that’s 7 feet away from me until I hit tv volume level 73 playing a Netflix movie on my iPhoneEnd result: comfortable and more ANC!

DEGRADES SOUND! DO NOT BUY
So I bought these because I kept getting my OEM cups dirty. I bought the black leather. First of all, they feel amazing and I was really happy with them. Then I noticed the cons. The OEM cups are specially designed for the in ear microphones that allow them to have proper noise cancellation. These mess up the response of the mics and give high pitched feedback in your ears. The audio looses all bass, they have a high pitched whistling sound in the upper mid range. When you turn on transparency audio they literally hurt your ears because the mic isn’t calibrated for these so it turns the ambiance up way too loud in your ear. I really wanted them to work. They look and feel amazing, but they’re just not good. I ended up buying an OEM pair from Apple. Spent $80 and threw these in the trash. Wouldn’t even suggest keeping them around as a spare. 0 stars

UPDATED BACK TO 1 STAR FOR LAMBSKIN, ORIGINAL: Sounds HORRIBLE but they fit and aren’t uncomfortable
THIRD UPDATE: I contacted the seller and explained my cleaning method. They responded saying that’s how they recommend cleaning then and then told me to have a nice day. No offer to fix them or replace them. This means they know they’re going to fall apart but don’t care. Here’s their response“ The black substance you mentioned that fell off should be dye, as pure sheepskin is not originally black in color. In the second picture, the glue on the product has already come off. However, please be cautious with the cleaning method next time. Simply use a wet tissue to gently wipe the surface, and then use a dry tissue to absorb any moisture. Additionally, avoid exposing the sheepskin ear cups to direct sunlight. Thank you!”SECOND UPDATE: these ear cups are garbage. Went to wash them for the first time (cold water and soap since adhesives usually don’t like hot/warm water and the manufacture doesn’t have cleaning instructions 🙄) and they completely fell apart. I’m going to reach out to them about it but I would be shocked if they aren’t going to claim some reason for not exchanging. DO NOT BUY THESE.UPDATED REVIEW:Earrock sent me a message after I posted my review and offered a full refund, no strings attached. I accepted the refund and they sent confirmation over. Then they asked if I would like to try a different style sent to me at their expense. I accepted that as well and they arrived a couple days later.I have to say, these are actually pretty decent replacement cups. I opted for the black lambskin and they have a stiffer and more dense foam that helps keep noise out (and in) while still being comfortable. They have a kind of leathery feel while you wear them, so if that’s not your thing these aren’t for you. But if you need to replace your cups and don’t want to pay Apple’s ridiculous prices, these aren’t a bad option. Thank you to Earrock for reaching out and fixing this without me having to contact anyone or jump through hoops. If you’re on the fence about buying, just do it and their customer service will sort it out for you if you’re not satisfied. It’s actually pretty refreshing.Original Review:Just like all the other reviewers, the cups I ordered (black mesh) sound absolutely horrible. It’s like a high pitched crinkle noise with every movement while I’m wearing them. There’s also really bad sound leaking in, even in noise cancelation mode. They feel substantially lighter than the OEM cups and I suspect that’s why there’s so much noise coming through. At least they’re soft though 🤷🏻♂️I wouldn’t buy them again nor recommend that other people buy them. I’m going to return them and just get the Apple replacements for double the price. Ugh.

The Holy Lamb
The holy lamb,I also sleep with my AirPods Max sometime and having a cushion that can protect the headphones and provides some soft resilient cushioning. The noise canceling it amazing now with them literally I can hear nothing! The microphones work really well and people can hear me very well as if I am talking into my phone. Transparency and normal modes work well too.I’ve also not had any weird ear sweat issue

Decent Alternative for Gym Use
Material: The Earrock replacement ear pads are made from protein leather and memory foam, offering both comfort and durability. The memory foam adapts to the shape of your ears, ensuring comfort during extended listening sessions.Magnetic Attachment: These ear pads feature a magnetic attachment system, making them easy to swap out and securely attach to your AirPods Max without any hassle.Compatibility: Specifically engineered for the AirPods Max, these ear pads ensure a perfect fit.Color: Available in classic black, these ear pads match the aesthetic of the original AirPods Max cushions. The color is accurate and blends seamlessly with the original design.Performance: In everyday use, the Earrock ear pads perform comparably to the Apple-certified ear pads in terms of comfort. During home use and at the gym, they provide long-lasting comfort and the protein leather prevents sweat absorption. However, there is a noticeable difference in sound quality. The Earrock ear pads produce a more hollow sound and are less effective at noise reduction, allowing wind and high-pitched sounds to leak in.Bottom Line: Earrock replacement ear pads are a cost-effective alternative to the original ear pads, maintaining the same level of comfort. They are decent for gym use, but the lower sound quality and noise reduction make them less ideal for other environments.
