Needed some magnets to hang up a calendar on the fridge and these seemed like a good deal for some plain black round magnets.Once I took them out of the plastic I immediately noticed my fingers were covered in black residue. These magnets are filthy and all were covered in black dust or oil or whatever it was. I washed them all in the sink and it seemed to get rid of the residue when touching them.Upon putting them on the fridge, I had to adjust one over a few inches. When I did I noticed a black streak on the white of the fridge. I tried all of them and they all left tiny scratches on the fridge. I scrubbed them with a hard bristle brush and most of the black came off, but there was still a little left and small scratches on the surface of the fridge. Horrible product. Will be returning.

After reading reviews I washed my magnets upon purchase. Then I used them to weight down my shower curtain that billows while showering. At first I ran them along the bottom of the curtain only. This would have worked except the magnets were so strong that pulling the curtain back caused them to attract to the others. I solved this by putting every other magnet higher up. So, with an up and down pattern my curtain stays in place and there is no air blowing it into my body as I shower. They are worth it.

I teach at a school where the classroom doors open out and have to be locked with a key from the outside. To make it easier for us to secure the doors if there is an active shooter situation, I am using these magnets to prevent the always locked door from closing. If there’s an active shooter, I can pull the magnet from the door and my door is instantly locked and I can stay safely in my room with my students. I have made 100 of them. They work very well. I hope I never need to pull the ribbon, but if I do, this magnet may save lives. Excellent product and well priced.
