Samjin Amook Rice Cake & Fish Cake Soup (2 Packs / 9oz) - High Protein Korean Cup Ramen

This product has a surprisingly rich broth for a powdered soup, it's very tasty.Very tasty product, though cooking time should be adjusted from what is written on package if microwaving in the US as the wattage of US microwaves are diffrent then area this product was created for and this meal will over cook if you follow the directions directly.

Ordered the spicy Amook for my mother and decided to buy this regular flavor as a two pack to try out for myself. As the nearest Asian food mart is two hours away from where we live, as well as not available at the exotic foods section at any of our local supermarkets, it was a lucky thing to have found these here sold as packs. Step-by-step instructions on the bowl are brief and very easy to follow, and the bowl itself is made up of sturdy microwavable paper, with the contents sealed separately in plastic bags and even includes a "spork" utensil inside, so you can also bring it with you when traveling (just add water). Most importantly, though, is the flavor, which is every bit as good as cooking our own fishcake soup, and it's not too salty; the broth is the most savory part. Worth trying and buying again.

Its way more fishier than usual fishcake soup. Amook soups. The fishcakes texture isn't supposed to be like this. Its supposed to be more soft and chewy not like this texture: eraser texture... the ricecake in it is pretty good. I am worried this will give misconception about amook soup. Not buying this again. 맛없어요.... 어묵 식감도 이상하고(으스러짐) 생긴것도 이상하고 비린내 심하고... 떡은 그나마 나은데 절대 이돈주고 먹을 맛 아니에요. 2불정도면 싸니까 봐주겠는데 비싸기만하고 ... 차라리 냉장으로 하고 어묵을 바꾸던지...

I was surprised that It is a bit more fishy smelling than when making at home, and me and my hubby do not like tons of spice and this was a little too much heat for us. The broth is spicy even if you remove the red peppers. The rice cakes and fish cakes come vacuum-packed and the spice is in its own packet. It is nice on a cold winter day and when you have no ambition to make from scratch, but much prefer homemade but this will do in a pinch. The cost is really high for what you get basically less filling than a package of ramen, so it is not something most would order often but nice to have on hand for that special flavor craving.. Note that you only put a small amount of water in the packaging to cook.

The seafood tasted like rubber. Sad because the broth had a very good flavor.

This was my first time buying/ eating this product and it proved to be such a surprisingly delicious treat! But don't be fooled, like I was, in thinking it is just another Asian cup/ bowl of soup. It is SO much more; a satisfying full meal, for sure.Upon opening, inside the bowl are logs of rice cake, chunks of fish cake (size of a silver dollar), a packet of dry seasoning and dehydrated veggies, plus a cute little foldable plastic utensil. The rice and fish are shrink-wrapped (separately, of course) so incredibly tight that I had to use an exacto (box cutter) blade to release them from their packaging. After I loosened the rice logs and fish cake pieces, I emptied the contents of the packets, added hot water to 3/4 level of the bowl, microwaved the bowl for 3 minutes, poured the "soup" into my favorite bowl (usually reserved for ramen) and savored every bit of it.One order includes 4 of these bowls, or 'meals,' as I say. They lasted me (alone) less than a week so I immediately ordered more, a quantity of 2 which is a total of 8 more bowls for me to enjoy!Note: The packet of veggies contains a few dried peppers and you can pick them out if you are adverse to "mildly spicy" foods. I leave them in, tho.I Highly recommend this product.

Quiet pricey. I just bought it because of curiosity. Based on price point, not enough ingredients. It has disposal utensil is included but rather have more ingredients than thatAbout 6-7pcs of fish cakes, and about 10pcs of rice cake, powered broth, seasoning included in package.To be honest, you can just go to asian market buy 3 cup noodles vs this one.Broth is quiet spicy and salty even if i put right amount water. I added extra water, noodle(i cooked it) then it comes to be okay.
