Entertaining, steamy contemporary western romance.
I came across Cowboy Seeking Nanny by Janice Whiteaker, while on Facebook. Reading the excerpt that was part of the ad, left me wondering what the rest of the book would be like. Despite having an overflowing TO BE READ shelf, I couldn't help downloading the book,it was available through Kindle Unlimited so there was no extra cost to me. I abandoned my Facebook surfing and immediately began reading Cowboy Seeking Nanny. I would say that the Facebook ad was very effective! Especially as this is a new author to me, AND, as I continue to say, I am not a Cowboy romance fan! But, congratulations, I am hooked!I love how this story wrapped me up in warm feel good memories of small towns, close knit families and friends, and the simple feelings of love and friendship. Reading Cowboy Seeking Nanny evokes feelings of fall days, warm fuzzy blankets and sharing a cup of coffee on the back porch swing with your best friend while watching the horses frolic in my neighbors pasture. Peaceful, simple, idellyic.Janice Whiteaker has created a world in Moss Creek, Montana, that is easy to get lost in. Her two main characters and love interests, Brody and Clara, are very believable. Janice has captured the perfect essence of regular human beings, trying to live their best life, amidst the struggles of raising a family and making a living. Through words alone, Ms. Whiteaker shows us the inner strength Brody and Clara possess, the capacity to love with your whole being, and the faith it takes to continue to love when life throws you a big curve. That takes talent to write in a way that shows not tells a reader how to react to character and the scenes! Janice Whiteaker demonstrates that talent. There were times that I laughed out loud and others where I cried. But I knew I was lost in the wonder of the story when I found my self, talking to the characters like they were real and in front of me! I found it endearing as Clara struggles with her love to curse but need to keep her language clean while around " little ears". Or how big strong cowboys can love and fear their "mama", knowing she can still "whip" them ,if they misbehave!Cowboy Seeking Nanny is not my Grandma's western romance. There are plenty of steamy love scenes that had me breathing a little faster while reading them. Definitely an 18 year or older romance! And yes, there is a liberal sprinkling of curse words throughout. But again, I believe it adds to the how real and relatable the characters are. The sex and cussing do not overwhelm the plot, though. Again, it demonstrates Janice Whiteaker creative talents that she can use the more colorful dialogue and explicit sex to move the story along rather than have it become the story. To me it is a perfect amount of spice needed to make a sweet and savory romance!Cowboy Seeking Nanny was a first read of Janice Whiteaker for me. It won't be the last!

Cowboy Seeking Nanny
Another great cowboy love story. Since Brody has lots of brothers, I’m sure there will be a book about each one. That’s great because they’re a great bunch! Great characters that you rooted for the entire time.Janice M. Whiteaker and Janice Whiteaker would have received 5 stars but I found a few places throughout when the character was Clara and they used the pronoun he. And when they were talking about Brody they used the wrong pronoun too. These errors are very distracting to me, a former educator.

Unexpectedly Delightful
There are several romance writers and books available, but I recommend THIS book and THIS author for a truly unique and delightful twist on romance and storytelling. Finished it in one day because it was so hard to put down! I love to read, and books like this one make me love it even more!

Sweet love story
I enjoyed this story. The characters were all very likeable, especially the little boy, Wyatt. I really liked the respect Brody showed for Clara, letting her decide things at her own pace. I only wish Clara wasn't so bullheaded about her ex, and so dense about Brody. But overall it's a nice story and worth reading.

Relationship of Convenience Story…
This story had the potential to be a very sweet love story. I even thought the insta-attraction/lust made sense in this scenario, but there was no depth to the relationship development. After finishing it I'm not sure what kind of story it is. It was obvious that falling in love would be a complicated mess, but unfortunately there was no falling in love at all. The storyline could have been so good. Brody had so much character. His confidence in every situation was swoon worthy. But, not once did he mention feelings for Clara other than her character for caring for his daughters and her son. The story was like a comedian that has plenty of jokes but just doesn’t know how to deliver a punch line.Seriously, how do you write a love story without one single “I love you” between the couple? The way the story was told it was a relationship of convenience. This is the first time I've read a romance story that love was never declared, unless you want to count a toddler saying it.The failure of the close of this story, (dumb for me to admit), made me angry. So, I truly don't know how to rate this tale. It just didn't meet my love story needs. I’m actually afraid to read another of her books to see if it was just this story. I guess when I finish a book I can at least say it was a Good Read. For me writing style is so important. And, this author knows how to structure a sentence that flows so there isn’t any he/said she/said. But, if her storyline failed because she couldn’t come up with a “Love Story”, well that was just sad for me…

Sweet Deal
Cute story. Loved the characters. Especially liked the straightforward approach the H had for the h, though I thought it pretty much went from zero to 'she's mine' awfully fast.Could use many more real life people like these characters.Need a little editing to polish this up.

I really enjoyed the story of Brody and Clara. It was true to life and believable. I especially liked the scene when Clara and her friends confronted Dick in front of the restaurant!

Love in Cowboy style 🤠
Single dad / single mom? CHECK ✅Boss / nanny? CHECK ✅Cowboy style? CHECK ✅I’m still in my cowboy era so I can’t pass a romance with these tropes! And this book makes you feel hugged ❤️I admire Clara the most because she’s a GREAT mom ready to stand up for her son in every way possible!Brody is the delicious mixture of sweetness and dirtiness 🥵🔥 A dedicated dad is aphrodisiac 🗣️ and he’s a dirty talk specialist!Sometimes all you need is a story to make you believe in good people again, you know? 😌The Paces are precious, and I love to read family dynamic so much.. So I absolutely will read the other books.(I need read Boone begging for Mae’s forgiveness 🗣️)

Love cowboys
Love cowboys, and I love the description of Brody, this is a feel good sweet book, Clara is spunky despite being beaten down by a very hard life, she gives that hunky cowboy a run for his money, makes him wirk foe her heart.
