Great for Training
This is great for training and minimizing the fear factor. My eight year old was having trouble catching balls above the waist. Pop flys were okay. In about 15 minutes, she was consistently catching balls thrown at her chest. The success greatly increased her enjoyment, which made her want to practice more, which caused her to get better. It's only the first day, and it's well worth it. I was am very impressed with the results and satisfied with the ball.

Great to help with beginners to build confidence
I bought these training baseballs to play catch with my son. I was looking for a soft and safe baseball that would not hurt him or me if we missed a catch. These baseballs met my requirements and more. They are made of wax-coated yarn that is durable and water-resistant. They have a regulation size and weight that is similar to a real baseball. They also have a white and red color that is easy to see and track. The baseballs are great for playing catch with my son. They are easy to throw and catch, and they have a realistic feel when catching. They also do not hurt our hands or gloves when we catch them. The only downside is that the baseballs can be a bit slippery when wet. They may also lose their shape or color over time. I recommend wiping them dry after use and storing them in a cool and dry place.Overall, I’m very happy with these training baseballs and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to play catch with their kids.

Great for learning not to fear the ball!
Picked up a pair of these for playing catch with my son so he could learn not to shy away from the ball. They have a great weight to them making it easy to catch in the pocket but the soft exterior prevents any real damage if it flips out. Would definitely recommend for anyone with young kids wanting to play some catch!

Fantastic training and practice ball for younger players
These are fantastic for younger players who may have some hesitancy and trepidation fielding or catching the baseball because of the fear of it hitting them in the face. I coach baseball and I used these first with my own 6 year old son then the entire team as needed.I use them primarily in throwing drills but will also use them for catching pop ups and fielding grounders. You want your players getting in front of the ball in fielding so if they don’t catch in glove they will knock it down and still be able to make a play and not go past them. My son took a baseball in the face during a throwing drill and developed some fear and with this product I was able to quickly get his confidence back and it’s fantastic to watch him and his teammates now eagerly go after the real baseballs in games and practice. While these balls are softer and don’t have the same impact and pain as a normal baseball if the player gets hit they do however throw and behave like regular baseballs which makes them ideal for throwing drills and catching pop ups.

These are an awesome tool for training kids to catch a baseball
These definitely take the sting out of a missed ball. They are exactly the same weight and size with a soft exterior. They are not like T balls which are bouncy and are actually difficult for kids to catch as they bounce out of the glove so easy. These have the same ability to pop into the glove without the hard crack if they get hit with the ball

Great teaching tool for smaller spaces
This ball throws and feels like a real ball when hit by the bat. It just dies after it's hit so it doesn't travel far enough to break any windows. We pitch to our 9 year old in the front yard with these balls for practice and they've been amazing! My only complaint is how expensive they are compared to other baseballs. I would recommend them to anyone working on hitting with a young child anywhere, especially in smaller spaces.

This helped our child overcome their fear of being hit by the ball very quickly. It also helped improve grip strength.

Love these for kids
I gave these a try last year with my own young kids. The kids immediately fet safe and comfortable using these to get a feel for catching a ball. They're great for teaching kids how to position their catching hand without having a glove on since they're easy to catch barehanded. The weight is really nice, and the cushioning prevents the ball from bouncing out of your hand. They're pricey, but an excellent training tool for kids.

Great product but too expensive
The ball is great for teaching a child how to catch. The weight feels good and the ball is easy for children to throw, even with it's softer, cushion feel.If money is no issue, buy several! If your budget is tight, consider sharing with a friend or neighbor because they are too much money. I will not buy anymore.
