LamyNib Black Extra Fine (1 Nib)

This nib can easily replace the existing nib on a Lamy fountain pen. It produces a consistent line with a good flow of ink. It is not as smooth as the wider nibs but is not scratchy. It feels much like using a fine point pencil. If you like a thin but dark line this nib will do the job. I have replaced several of my Lamy medium nibs with this one and I enjoy the results.

Nothing to dislike, the fine nib was great on quality paper; just lacked on cheap school copy paper. The extra fine nib met expectations on cheap copy paper

Great nib that's easy to install and writes very well. I initially had some scratchy writing after putting it on my Lamy Studio, but soon realized that it was a hair crooked on the feed. So once I removed it and installed it again it started writing without any issues.Produces a very fine line that's great if you tend to write in small print. The thin line also means the ink dries quickly — as you can see in the photo, the only way that I was able to cause any smearing was when I ran my finger across the page immediately after finishing writing a word.I've also used it on thicker paper like you'd see in a nice journal or planner and it writes well on there, though you'll need to give it ~10 seconds to prevent smearing.

The Lamy nib is just what I needed. The only problem was the packaging. The seller used scotch tape to tape it to a foam backing, then packaged it. It was difficult to remove the sticky adhesive. The nib would be useless if I didn’t get the adhesive off. Another method of packaging might be a good idea.

Nib isn't working at all. The nib that came with my pen works fine, but when I switch to this one it won't write at all. Maybe it's a user error, but I'm very disappointed.Update: it took a lot of coaxing to get this nib to work. Unlike the medium nib that came with my lamy, this nib stayed dry and would not draw ink to the tip to write. I tried to start it by sort of dipping it in the ink from the underside of the other nib, but it would just use that dab of ink and remain dry. I had to use the feed with no nib on to sort of rub the ink on the inside of this nib and fully saturate it down to the tip for it to really get going. I don't know why it had such trouble pooling any ink in the feed to the tip, but I eventually helped it to start and it's writing fine now.This nib might be too scratchy for some, but I find it appealing to hear a little scratch as you go, sort of makes me feel like I'm using on old quill pen. I absolutely love the thin lines of this nib. It's exactly what I wanted!!

Easy to install, smooth continuous line and flow of ink. I love the fine line and amount of ink it leaves on the paper. Reduced bleed through. I loved it so much I bought a second replacing a medium point on another Lamy.

I just replaced the medium nib in my favorite Lamy with this extra fine and I am loving it! Smoother, more defined writing, and this nib doesn't even object to the cheap paper in the old journal I'm using. Super easy to exchange nibs - I didn't even get ink all over myself or my work space. It took a little coaxing to get the ink flowing properly, but once that was working well - perfect performance. And, the black metal looks much cooler with this pen! :-)

only place i found Black EF nib. Not even Lamy Website. if you are into Illustration. you need EF and Broad. Lamy nib gives a Strong feel when using on paper.

Reception ce jour de la "plume" pour mon Lamy. Première chose, l'envoi est sérieux, livrée dans une enveloppe matelassée, la plume protégée dans une pochette. L'adresse et le petit mot de remerciement sont écrits à la plume ce qui me donne une confiance supplémentaire, en tout cas, pour moi, car cela m'indique que si j'ai un problème avec la plume, niveau écriture ou autre, je me dis que le vendeur écrivant avec un stylo plume sait de quoi il parle.Quant à la plume elle même, installée sur mon Lamy, correspond à mon attente. A voir sur le long terme.

A great extra fine nib, easy to swap out to. I don't find it all scratchy. My only gripe is that I feel even this extra fine is really only a fine. Although I do understand that found in pens can be more challenging to get as fine as rollers.

I treated myself to a new purple Lamy Al Star but it came with a medium nib which I have plenty already on other brands of fountain pen.So I ordered the extra fine nib in this gorgeous brushed black steel.Im so pleased I did as it looks absolutely gorgeous with the purple...see my piks below.I love the Lamy written in gold on the nib itself...very elegant. I already have the extra fine nib on my green blue AL star Lamy so I knew already I loved it, but really fancied the black it looks so much nicer. My images dont really do it justice they really are beautiful nibs.Really happy no problems I wrote straight away and didn't have to fiddle with the tines at all to get the ink flowing. Perfect!!!Definitely recommend these nibs, barely any feedback despite being extra fine, writes beautifully, love this!
