Sally HansenSalon Effects Couture Nail Stickers, Faux Real, 18 Count

I have purchased and used these before, and it is a great product if it's fresh. My guess is they dry out when exposed to air, but no matter what the cause, the pack I received from Amazon did not work. Thankfully, Amazon is sending me a new box, because when they work they are awesome! I've bought the "love letter" pattern several times and always get tons of compliments on them.A few tips:- When you open the package, they should smell strongly of nail polish. After peeling off the backing they should be thin, sticky, and stretchy (don't stretch too far or it will ruin the pattern). If they are stiff or not stretchy, the product is dried out and won't stick very well. This is not how they are supposed to be! If you are struggling, it's probably a bad set.- When applying the sticker to the nail, place the bottom at the your cuticle then pull to gently stretch over the rest of the nail. Finally nudge the extra sticker length under the tip of the nail before filing. This will help you get a good edge without small tears.- If your finger is between two sticker sizes, go with the smaller one. A little nail might show, but when you use the bigger one it sometimes bunches around the edge of your nail.- Unfortunately, extras can't be saved. They dry out quickly :( Might as well do an accent toe or two or give them to a friend.

I really love these stickers! Do I think they are for everybody? No... I’m a licensed nail tech, so I’m able to use them pretty well, I can see why people might struggle with them. What I like most about these stickers compared to most is that they are super thin, so there is no lifting and they sit tight on your nail bed. A trick I use is applying a gel top coat on top instead of a regular top coat, and they will last for weeks until I’m ready to remove them.

I probably had expectations too high because I love the Sally Hansen brand of polish. These wraps were a letdown.1. I tried another brand that was much easier to apply, thicker, and more durable-feeling than these. What I hated:2. These are so thin that I actually ripped one while peeling away from the backing. These just feel super flimsy and cheap.3.This particular design is much whiter/brighter than I thought. It's not just my dark skin because my lighter friend tried one and... It looks like I am wearing liquid paper on my nails.4. The application is very awkward and not that user-friendly. Everything is so thin that peeling the wraps was easy to mess up.5. Unlike with another brand I tried, I could not apply a clear coat to this. The dark print smeared when I tried to so I had to paint completely over to cover the mess. So... cheap?What I did like:1. Choosing the design was my fault. If not for the color, the script design would be really cute.2. The kit well-packaged & had everything needed for the application.3. The wraps lay nicely once they are applied. They are very smooth & do look as if painted onto the nail4. I do think these will last just for the fact that they apply to flat.I wish I had tried another design. Even though I won't buy this brand again (I have ordered more of the Diva gel manicure wraps instead!), I really wanted to like these.So, overall, these felt cheap and the color ran under clear polish. If I had tried this brand first, I might not ever have tried any more wraps.

First off the packaging was torn up. The edges of the box were trashed and the safety seal was gone. The packaging was yellowing with age. I took this box to compare it to one at the store and this looks like it was made in 1980 it's so yellow. I should have returned it, but thought, "oh well, I'll try it". Wrong decision. The strips themselves had yellowed!! The background is supposed to be white, but it's a creamy brownish background. I've never had a problem with Sally Hansen before, so I don't know if this shop had them around for ages or what. Anyway, they would not stick on. I used their directions step by step, and they came off in about an hour. I won't buy them again from this seller.

I bought the animal print design thinking they were the same as nail polish type- they are paper stickers - totally garbage and useless unless you are 4 yrs old with adult sized hands. They absorb water, a clear coat makes them worse and they lift/peel right off like window clings - do not get these unless you are heading to a one hour interview at a strip club and don't plan to wash you hands. These two types should not be presented on the same product page.

I have used other Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail wraps in the past and I've always been really happy with them. I work in a lab and have found the nail wraps to stand up surprisingly well to multiple glove changes and hand washes throughout the day. This was the first time I've used the "couture" stickers and I was really disappointed in them. They are quite a bit thicker than the regular nail wraps. When folding them over the ends of my fingernail it felt like I was trying to fold construction paper over them and they did not file off nicely. They also have a fuzzy or "flocked" (sp?) texture to them. I put these on in the evening and the next morning when I woke up I had a layer of fuzz from my blanket on each nail. I think the texture acts much like Velcro and just grabs on to the fibers of blankets, clothes, etc. By the time I got home from work they looked terrible. They had started to literally disintegrate from the end that had been filed off despite the fact I had followed the instructions and sealed the filed ends with clear coat. I just peeled them off at that point, less than 24 hours after application. I would not recommend these. I would recommend the regular S.H. Salon Effects nail wraps instead. Im giving them 2 stars only because the design is pretty.

Waste of money. I was really hoping to love these! They were really easy to put on. I followed the directions exactly. However they only stayed on for a few hours! I put them on in the evening around 7pm and by 6 the next morning I was missing two on my way out the door to work! I had to remove the rest in the car because it looked so bad! They easily come off- TOO easily! Will not buy again.

When these arrived, they were not as pictured. The ones I recieved were pink but still had the same name. I contacted the seller and they sorted the problem out. I have since used the product and it is reasonably easy to use - I just need more practise! Will be ordering more from my Wishlist soon!

i have used dashing diva before,much better, these have a wierd texture to them,i only just put them on dont know if i will want to wear them in public. they kind of look like youve hit your fingers with a hammer cuz of the colors and they are flat colori never have to use polish with dashing diva, so i wont buy these again

I ordered 2 sets of these packages, the first one did not even last 2 hours, so I figured I just got a faulty package. So i proceeded to apply the 2 box the next day and they barely lasted 24hours. I've used this product before and the manicure usually lasts minimum 7 days, so I think I got a bad batch. When I took a closer look at the "stickers" it appears as though the adhesive was dried out or old, so perhaps that's why? Really not happy with this order and don't think I would re-order and risk this again :(

Not a time saver. Lol. Took an hour to put on.Picture is 3 days later, all cracked.
