Hades (PS5)

This game has a great hook lots to learn and death is to be expected but each death allow you to get a little stronger have played this a lot! Got the platinum and still play it daily which can't be said for some other titles which I've paid x3 more for, the music is amazing the game play fast and not forgiving. The combination of powers and weapons make every run different and every weapon useful when combined with the right power ups. If you're a fan of rouge like games then this is one not to be missed.26/2 Just wanted to come back to this review and say its been months now with this game and I still play it a few times a week, Hades 2 is due out so want to keep my skill level up for the next instalment. Will say that I have now also gone back and played all the supergiant games and would recommend them all, the art work, music, voice acting, game play and stories are all solid! Ive gone from never playing a SG game to being a total fan boy, can't wait for Hades 2 and whatever they make next!!!

This was a great game to play. It’s a rogue type of game, which I’m not a huge fan of and in this you will die a lot, but as you progress you unlock weapons and perks to help progress you further on your next run. Add in random buffs/abilities to that on every play through and you have something that never gets boring. Worth a watch on YouTube if you’re interested in this game.

Great gameplay for a super giant title ot has everything and not a game you can complete in one day. It has great characters and tight responsive controls, it never gets repetitive which is rare these days. I like its Greek theme and the powers of the gods are all good. You will find it engaging and challenging in the beginning but the more you play the more you level the mirror of night and unlock new weapons and ways to get certain boons, my advice talk to every character the dialogue is brilliant and never repeats itself. I highly recommend this game it is original and a blast to play.

Hadn’t really heard about this much, bought it anyway and ended up loving it. I played it over and over until I got the Platinum. Plenty of hours of enjoyment to be had but it can get a little tedious towards the end.

Hades has quickly risen to be one of my favourite games of all time. Beautiful art, fantastic music, amazing voice acting, ridiculously fun gameplay, excellent writing (plus you can pet the dog). I've spent hundreds of hours playing so far and I'm still having fun and because of the different power up/weapon combinations it always feels fresh. I would be hard pressed to find a negative to this game.

Great game, highly addictive and manages to balance randomness with expectations to where every run feels different but I never feel like I lost a run due to RNG. Played the game for hundreds of hours on PC and decided that I wanted a physical copy on console because I love it so much. Shame there's no cross-saves on this version, but starting over in "Hell Mode" has been a really fun time.
