It still works but my hearing has gotten worse and I'm unable to hear the phone ringing when ...
I bought two of these. (I have a real old speakerphone from the 1970's. It still works but my hearing has gotten worse and I'm unable to hear the phone ringing when someone calls. I moved that one in the room with my computer.) The new ones I put in the living room and my bedroom. I don't wear my hearing aids to bed so needed one with a loud ringer. Now I can hear the phone when I'm asleep and can answer the phone while I'm lying down. I really don't need the photo feature. What I do is turn the picture over and put the name and number of the person on the back. That way, if its serious, the paramedics can write down any information they need without going through my address book for the person I want them to call.

Not as described
Ordered this phone for my Mom that is in a facility specializing in dementia and she is also hearing impaired. The amplify button reverts back to low setting each call and I had to put a post it note on phone to remind her to push every call.

For the Elderly
Everyone has that one person in their family that has trouble hearing on the phone. When our loved one got very ill, he couldn't even hear the phone ring, much less whowas calling. We got two of these for him and he's really enjoyed the pleasure of speaking to hiskids. A trip to the ear doctor and a new phone set up, he's ready for spring.

Nice landline; cannot get the memory buttons to work
This works fine as a landline; but the buttons to program in the numbers are "mushy" and non-responsive. I have tried several times to program the buttons and it is not working

Overall a great phone for elderly or vision impaired. Well, not any longer. See edit following the initial review
Voice quality is great. Easy to program and use. Buttons are nice size and easy to use. My only complaint is that it fell off the bedside table onto the carpeted floor and most of the button covers for the programmed buttons broke off. Those buttons are still useable, however, and everything else still works just fine.Update: The ringer on this phone stopped working in May, with just 5 months of use, so calls cannot be received. The manufacturer is requiring that it be sent back to them for repair, which will take a few weeks.

Great for hard of hearing!
Bought it for my folks who are having a hard time hearing. They like it , even had to turn it down, it was too loud- which never happens. Easy to program and teach them how to use

A nice phone for your older loved ones.
Bought this phone for my 90 year old mother that has the beginning stages of dementia. She doesn't need the photo buttons yet, but its nice to know in the future that this may be the best way for her to call the correct person. Volume amplified the voice well.
